I think he'll be right with a tag. His work ethic is great, he tackles, his contested possession rate is going up, it's not like he's being spoon fed.

End of the day, if he wants to become a great player, won't matter where he plays, he'll have a tag. Just like every other great midfielder

I base my opinion upon many years of experience as a football person, a keen observation of the politics of football, a top level football intuition, and private discussions with "unofficial" persons.

No idea where though.

The guy is a massive gun and it wouldnt surprise me if every vic club is assessing their cap to try and offer the same.

We are still hoping he stays as this is not a case of "Go Home Sickness" but a godfather deal.

Agreed, think more and more vic clubs will be putting in their offers towards the end of the year if he still remains unsigned.... Would be disappointed if we didn't have a crack because he's totally worth whatever the price is. Much prefer JK over Martin/Fyfe.

IF he did want to leave GWS would suit him. He would be out of the media spotlight more that he would be here in Vic and gets to play with his good mate Deledio again.
If the Tigers are offering Dusty big bucks we could afford to offer that cash to Kelly as well.

It all hinges on a lot of IF's but it would be a win-win IMO

The Tigers can't, because Martin will be signing a brand new contract whereever he signs. Clubs can only contribute to the pay of a player for the year(s) they previously had him under contract for.

If I was GWS, Kelly's form over the last month or so would have me ripping up my salary cap plans and renegotiating as many players contracts as I could to get him the cash he needs to stay - I think he would genuinely prefer to stay in Sydney, but the Giants need to close the salary gap between theirs and a growing list of clubs' offers.
