Disagree

On talent alone i would have Kelly ahead.
Where Shiel passes him though is his leadership qualities.

Shiel has been arguably your best mid since day dot, Kelly has had a very good year, trick is to back it up when the football World has its eyes on you when you're on big money and clubs start to target him on the field.

This guy. I like it.

If we base it on criteria...what is likely to be done:

1) Money - This is probably the most important one. And I can see him nominating based on this alone if the disparity is large enough. North > Carlton = St Kilda
2) Assets - Don't think this is really a factor as all the clubs will be able to find assets to get it done. St Kilda have the assets already so I'd give them the slight edge. We have Gibbs leaving so will have other picks, but again very slight difference here. St Kilda > Carlton > North
3) Chance of Success currently. St Kilda list is definitely ahead, probably 2 years ahead of the Blues. North still on the way down. St Kidla > Carlton > North
4) Chance of Success longterm. I'm obviously biased here but think we have the best KPPs of the group, and probably the highest ceiling stars at this stage. Cripps, Weitering and Curnow are AA potentials. The other two clubs have great players too of course, but I'd rather our talent. Carlton > St Kilda > North
5) Existing Players. Half our list were drafted by GWS originally. Carlton >> St Kilda = North
6) Other Connections. SOS may have friendship with him. Carlton > St Kilda = North
7) Coaching - Bolton, Richardson both well respected around the league. I think North may have a bit of uncertainty here moving forward if Scott moves to the sunshine coast. Carlton = St Kilda > North
8) Rumours. Based on media noise, North > Carlton > St Kilda

CARLTON = 4 criteria wins
St Kilda = 3 criteria wins
North = 2 criteria wins

Upon reflection, scientific analysis shows that he is clearly going to Carlton.
Scientific analysis would show that none of that is scientific analysis.

This is when science becomes science fiction.
You`re great at rating lists.

Money I think all clubs will cough up the big bucks for him maybe north may go the most.

Assets is a no factor at all and if it did pick 1 trumps all.

Success may have a factor but none of the Melbourne teams can guarantee it Carlton north are at the bottom and saints are middle tier so it's not really a huge thing.

Existing players give me a break really

Connections you have north last and have Carlton first because of sos. His dad played for north he barracked for north. This was the clincher of stupidity.

Coaching Richardson has question marks just the same with brad Scott I believe Bolton is the better coach.

Overall terrible biased opinion and that's what I disagree with.

Money I think all clubs will cough up the big bucks for him maybe north may go the most. So you agree with me. North have the edge in the money criteria.

Assets is a no factor at all and if it did pick 1 trumps all.Assets are a factor, since Carlton and North would have to re-arrange trades to get the assets required to satisfy GWS, St Kilda presumedly already have it.

Success may have a factor but none of the Melbourne teams can guarantee it Carlton north are at the bottom and saints are middle tier so it's not really a huge thing.Yes but North are on the way down, the other two lists are on the way up. St Kilda is 2 years ahead of us and 4+ years ahead of North.

Existing players give me a break really I already admitted bias here so you can drop the cool boy act.

So aside from the F/S point, you are clearly reacting in an over-emotional way because someone explained why North aren't favourites to get him. Take it as a favour so you're ready for the pain that is about to come.

Well coxy149 on bigfooty has declared it.

May as well pack up and go home folks.
Nothing to see here.
Said I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to Carlton. No biased opinion. Just think saints and kangas wont get him. Even history shows that the "big name" players dont nominate to go to the saints or roos. Carlile, steele and Marley Williams don't count as big names

Carlisle doesn't count but presumably tom mitchell or a one-legged omeara do right?
No biased opinion indeed

So Carlton have three good young players, therefore the best chance of future success?

History isn't a good guide for the future because the landscape of the AFL is completely different from the past.

And why can't we use Carlisle as an example? IIRC, he chose St Kilda over both Carlton and Hawthorn.

Lol Carlisle doesn't count he counted enough for your coach to jump on a 727 and meet him in the foyer of his las vegas hotel....ps thanks for your 1st rounder

You guys definitely have better depth and more B+ prospects.

Other than seb ross, who are your AA prospects?

All I mean is we have higher top end talent, you guys have much more good talent
Billings Steele and Gresham are all young guns. Luke Dunstan and Jack Sinclair also showing they could be A grade players this season.

Anyway we shall see. I have a feeling Saints will land Kelly but that is based on absolutely nothing :) good luck
