You just have to look at the twitter feeds of the players. All they seems to talk about is the NBA or their latest set of threads/tattoos. Pretty sure football is on the bottom of the list and i get the feeling its just a job for most.

To be fair they will be footy non-stop when at club and can well imagine they need a break in their own time.

He came down to my son's Auskick last week (with ASel) and was a champion bloke - chatted to my wife and daughter while my son was playing and I was umpiring. She said he was just a genuinely nice guy and engaged with the kids beautifully (FWIW)

My sister bumped into them last night. Said some guy with a stupid name in glasses asked her if she wanted to instagram with him because, quote "I play AFL".

Showed her a picture of Sharrod Wellingham.

Confirmed.

He plays AFL... masqueraded as an AFL player on Saturday night. Normally they show news footage or pictures from the Eagles Mad Monday but I haven't seen any surface yet
