He would be best 22 @ Geelong my friend...
Injury is minor from all reports, being wrapped in cotton wool like the rest of the team atm. I would say he is a 70/30 chance to play round 1, they will make every effort to have him in the side.

Based on what? (Apart from the fact you sponsor him?)

How about the fact that I sponsor him means I keep up to date with current reports on his fitness and injury concerns and I also made an effort to closely follow his past progress from being drafted to playing at Carlton and then his transition to playing for the Eagles.....

Basically I am a one stop shop for knowledge on all things Josh Kennedy so when I speak about him its not just a rant, its a well thought out informed opinion based on information recieved from WC coaches. If I hear that the injury is worse than previously stated I will let you know k.

*EDIT* and also Cam Mooney is a lucky spud who just happens to be in the right place at the right time.

doubtful, not best 22 anyway atm

Strongly disagree.

Agree.

Agree with the bolded.

However I haven't seen/ heard anything to suggest Kennedy is in front of Lynch, Hansen or even Brown at this stage of the year. Not that I dont want him to be, he just isnt yet.:)

I can't really figure how good Kennedy is as I haven't seen enough of him. I know that many people here rate him highly and Worsfold also rates him, but I just haven't seen enough of him.

He reminds me of Travis Gaspar who was also full of talent –some people rated him better than his brother at Richmond – but his problem was he was always injured and we had to finally cut our losses and delist him.

I hope this is not the case with Kennedy, and that he fully recovers and becomes a top liner for us.

Its likely that Kennedy is an injury prone player, you would think that between Hansen and Kennedy we would have at least one CHF for 22 games though. I really do hope that he remains injury free, one good straight season into him and he will be a fantastic player.

Remember he is still 21 (turns 22 in July) and is in his fourth season in 2009... 4th season = big blokes break out season.

Thatll show bloody Carlton, Im not bitter... but I would love for Fev to break his leg and Josh have a break out year just for the commentators to say "gee Carlton really should of held onto this kid"

I really hope that Carlton haven't "done a Sierakowski" on us with Kennedy. (Traded us a player who WAS very good but who is perpetually injured). I am really looking forward to seing Josh kick goals for the Eagles this year !

Just thought that this boy deserved a bit of love after yesterday's game.

My man love is up there for this lad (only slightly behind Wirra). I'm just really pleased he is doing so well and showing what he is capable of. Thought it was pretty tough set of circumstances he found himself in with the Judd trade and he handled it so amazingly well, when he could've easily had a sook and dropped the bundle. Good on ya Joshy.

Love his endeavour and work ethic, love his physicality, love his Kamakaze attack on the ball, love his sticky hands... jeez it makes a nice difference to have a big bloke up forward who can take a mark or bring the ball down and keep it there! Works well up the ground too...

... need another cold shower.:p

Watching the game yesterday I realised how much we've missed a marking forward target the last few years. Even when we won the flag in 06, we could rarely take a mark inside F50.

Now with LeCras, Kennedy and Wilson all showing that they can take a solid contested mark, things are really looking up.

Great to see Josh doing so well at the Eagles

Was really disappointed that he was traded to the Eagles (but am very happy with Juddy)

Great to see he's settled in the line up - when at Carlton he always showed a lot of ability but suffered injuries and probably was not that favoured by Pagan, also some Blue supporters were a bit hard on the guy because he was a high draft pick who didn't perform "straight off the shelf"

Go Josh
