Good assessment, totally agree. Lacks mobility to be a consistantly good AFL player.

Reminds me of Brendan Fewster i.e. great WAFL player but just falls a bit short of AFL quality.

Agree with both these posts, perfect size for a WAFL player but just a tad too slow for AFL.

Geelong are slow but have great disposal by foot....we dont at the moment!

Smith would be better than Hawkins or Plodsiadly at Geelong because he is a better mark and kick than both of those guys. However, at a club he wouldn't get spoon fed he has limitations. Smith was a big reason why North Ballarat won so many flags, his size and marking ability is problematic for amateur grade teams, not so much AFL sides.
