Got this from an Article from Someone in the West:

" Clubs also want an explanation why promising ruckman Josh Stott was allowed to play a league game for East Perth on a permit from amateur club North Beach .

Stott 20 is on Collingwood's radar after his selection in the All Australian amateur team this year .

He played for East Perth against Claremont in the final Home and Away match . WAFL rules allow permit players to play only Colts or Reserves . "

So was wondering does anyone know much about him

Jason Stott

Now this bloke is a smokie who played 1 game for East Perth at the end of the year after having featured prominently in the amateurs. It was rumoured in the press in the West that Collingwood was looking at him but that's probably papertalk.

That said there is a touch of Kirk Ugle about this bloke, not so much in how he plays but more that Ugle was drafted after playing predominately in the sout west last year and not in the WAFL.

Can the moderators move this the Josh Stott thread.

Re: Jason Stott

There are lots of rumours which fly around at WAFL level which come to nothing, either club, agent or player talk it up as if talking about the player will get the player drafted. In his case, it was rumoured, again at WAFL level, that a few clubs were interested in him.

That said in his one and only game for EPFC showed some awareness and skill and was certainly not the worst player on the day he played. Not a lot of exposed form to judge him on so I suspect that if a club was interested in him there would be some private testing going on ( as he is not going either state testing or draft camp).

Well I guess what Happens closer to the Draft if Teams have a Look at him.

Ugle was Brought by Collingwood about a week or 2 before the Draft

WAFL Online says his name is Joshua Stott.

There really is not a lot of exposed form with Stott. A 20 year old he played 3 reserves games and 1 game of league for East Perth this year averaging 16 possessions and 3 tackles in each game.

In his 3 reserves games, he also scored 6 goals but unless this is a player that an AFL club has tried to bury, there is not a lot to go on at WAFL level
