Coming of the rookie list at the end of 2003 looks to be in great form, Great set of hands and is a clever player getting in and out of tricky situations.Got fourth in box hill best anf fairest and will progess greatly in the hawthorne team this year i personalliy think he is going to fit into this side greatly. Hes an agressive midfielder\backman and goes in hard for the footy, Not being a hawk fan i think he will fit into this side as i said greatly i just wondering how you guys rate him as a player?

I am a huge wrap for this kid. Real intelligence on the footy field, good skills, great hands and uses the ball well.

Reminds me of Chris Mew in so many ways. Only downside is he is terribly skinny (see wizard cup against the saints where he was absolutely pulverised not once but twice). Would hate to see what BBBBarry Hall would do to him in a front on.

That said, I rate him very highly, part of the hawks future.

i believe he should be given every chance to play every game for us this year.. players bigger than him would have been hurting like hell after the crunch he got against the saints..i dont make to much of that incident and from what ive seen of him this kids certainly got what it takes...back pocket is his this year with ozzy in the other..i'd put thurgood ahead jacobs already..at least he's shown us something where as jacobs hasnt...

You'd be hard pressed to find a Hawthorn fan who doesn't like him.

Will be a good player.

do you think he's aware of the support and cult following he's beginning to gather amongst hawk supporters....

if not he'll get a taste when we play rounds 2,3,4 and 5 at the G...

I remember watching a game on TV a few years ago it was played at Waverly Collingwood V Essendon and a young bloke named Hird played his first league game and i still recall thinking this kid can play.I have only seen Josh Thurgood play on the TV in the St Kilda game but i think he has the goods to be another J Hird big wrap i know but just a gut feeling i got watching him for a short period.

i think thurgood will be a real player and will definately play alot this year, whether he's ready for round 1 I'm not sure. Probably is up there to be started off the bench and then eased in when the sting is taken out of the game. But wouldn't mind too much if he started on the field. I think we underate Jaccobs as i believe he is in our best 22 when he's playing at his best.... but he's not so i guess thurgood deserves his spot for this round.

A cast-iron wok is more agile than Stephen Jurica
But Jurica is possibly faster, probably more flexible, and almost certainly smarter than the cast-iron wok. Now if we're talking about one of those electric, aluminium, teflon-coated woks, that would be a different conversation.
In your honour Gendel, I christen Thurgood to be henceforth known as The Iron Chef. :D
