I was watching judd after the final siren last night,he didn't seem to too fussed about the loss afterall it was easy work for the first one of his $55,000 pay cheques with 21 still to go.:)

His mind was occupied thinking about the environment in his role for Visy, he has got a hybrid car you know so he is very committed and qualified.

He also had all those corporate types to worry about up in the box - did they have a good time? Will they tell their mates? It is hard to get good help these days - perhaps he could run some drinks up and tell a few highly amusing yarns at halftime and when he is on the pine.

And then there is this whole footy thing.

People are pretty harsh you know - this bloke is working at least 3 jobs just to put a meal on the table for his family and everyone is sticking the boots in like he's some sort of gold digging megolamaniac. I mean he cares to the depth of his soul about these things - it's tall poppy syndrome I tells ya.

It seems a certain Chris Judd was made to look better than he is by an excellent West Coast Midfield and ruck.

Yeah Carlton supporters would do well to slap in some old Eagles tapes from 2006 and look at what Braun, Stenglein even Kerr used to do to help Judd get the ball. Sacrificing their own games to set screens for Judd's opponent. Here is a perfect example of what I mean.

Goal #1 - Makes it himself.
Goal #2 - Shepherd by Fletcher to let Judd get the ball
Goal #3 - Shepherd by Seaby to protect Judd from getting the mark
Goal #4 - Shepherd by TWO Eagles players to let Judd run in to get the Easy goal.
Goal #5 - Chick handballs then shepherds for Judd to get the goal
Goal #6 - Cox delivers it to him on a platter.... an Eagles player runs in eyes off the ball and sheperds in the pack for Judd to break free.... then Fletcher shepherds for Judd to get out of the pack... then Staker shepherds for Judd again so he can run into an open goal.

Carlton don't have the players nor the professionalism nor do they have a coach with a brain who are willing to sacrifice their own games to get Judd the ball. Could you imagine Bryce Squibbs putting his body on the line for anyone? :D:D:D Without the other Eagles players doing the hard work Judd wuld not have got a single goal there. Suck it up Carlton supporters... you'll never see Judd the cripple play this well ever again :D

You have to laugh at the weagle supporters sudden change of opinion on Judd's abilities & injury. When they wer looking for a trade, they wanted #1, 2 & 3 picks, plus a couple of proven good players in return, because Judd was such a champion player & saying that his groin would be OK after the surgery & he would be just as good as he was. Now he's a cripple & was an ordinary player, made to look good by his team mates.

If Judd only plays one brilliant game this year, I hope it's against the weagles & he wins the game off his own boot. :thumbsu:

WOW! Supporters couldn't possibly want the absolute most they could get for a trade and talk him up as much as they can right????

Oh thats right... you're pathetic mob tried to tell the Dockers that Kepler Bradley was a required and valuable member of Essendon and you would not take anything less than a 2nd round pick for the great man!!! Only for the Dockers to tell you to get ****ed. What does your wonderful team then do? Sack Kepler Bradley on the spot when they couldn't trade him so that his career is left in limbo. Stones/Glasses houses anyone?

Do you know the difference between what the clubs say & what the supporters post on big footy? Didn't think so.

Judd ooked to have a bit of frustration on his face late in the third, so he seemed to have some feeling with the way the game was going.

Only because he was the centrepiece for his new corporate events company and a bad showing first up probably wouldn't make him look too flash. After all, if he's willing to settle with a shit team on the park, his clients must be wondering how shit his event staff are?

Perhaps he was trying to say "Hey I don't give a shit if the team is last my goal is to make them good again!" ....ya know some shit like that.

Judd doesn't care. He still gets paid.

Are you kidding me?

Do you think he'd like playing in a losing club? He'd hate this, he'd hate it twice as much because he can't have the impact he knows he CAN have on a game. He wasn't 100% last night, but still looked a class above on several occasions.

You idiot. If it bothered him about playing in a losing club why did he choose Carlton? He could have played with any young up and coming club like Hawthorn, St Kilda, Collingwood, Essendon.... and he chose the worst club in the history of the AFL... who just happens to own a recycling company and is corrupt.

Do you REALLY think Judd cares about playing in a winning side?

Yeah I do. Judd prob thought with his influence and the young kids in the next 1 or 2 years they could start challenging.

What could the Hawks / St.Kilda / Collingwood / Don's offer?

Collingwood, sure alot of money, what players though? Not really any high draft picks.

Don's sure draft picks, but their best players are 28+ and no tall fwd's they would willingly trade

St.Kilda don't have the money for Judd, or the salary cap to fit him.

Hawk's didn't have high drafts to offer, or prob the salary cap to fit. Plus the eagles would have asked for Buddy

Judd prob spoke to the eagles and got a gauge of what the club wants for him and he tried to fulfill that for them.

No player likes playing in a losing team.

You must have been asleep for the last 6 months. Judd's manager and Carlton let the cat our of the bag that he decided mid way through last year (about June) that he was going to go to Carlton. Carlton knew he was leaving and hence started tanking almost immediately.

No player likes playing in a losing team.

No but certain players it worries less than others. Judd is one of those. When he came to the Eagles he told the coaching staff that all he cared was that the club gave him an opportunity to be the best possible player he could be. Nothing about winning flags or premierships or being successful in a team. Judd is not your average footballer... he drives a hybrid vehicle because he worries more about the environment than anything else in the world including football. He is the sort of guy that will quit footy at 27 because he has "done it all" and go and do something to help the environment (like on the board of an environmental cardboard company owned by Dick Pratt  WOW what a coincidence  )

Judd went to Carlton not because he wanted to win football games..... he only gave a shit about the $$$$, his missus modelling/tv career and his life after football eg: Visy. Football comes in a very distant 4th or 5th in his life.

He's been to the top of the mountain.. now he just want's a bag of cash

Correct.

He claimed he wanted to play for a successful side. He claimed he wanted to play at the MCG. He claimed he wanted to go to a club with good facilities.

Then he chose Carlton.

Mercenary. But he sure is paid well...
