Snides was dropped for no reason, he played better than many of the other players last week.

DROP MATHEWS! MCVEIGH! JUDE BOLTON! LEO BARRY!

Bolton and McVeigh did alright today. As for saying Leo Barry should get dropped, I hope you're having a laugh. Ben Mathews, however, should never be in the team. No good. Can't help but think one of those classic Schneider goals would've lifted the team as they've done many times before.

On another note, Laidlaw. Looks a handy player.

Oh and please drop Bevan, and Buchanan.

And threaten Ablett with the chop, he is seriously on the brink of having a spell in the reserves.

Thats true. Ablett did try, but his skills were woeful.

The others who played worse than him disappeared into the turf i.e Buchanan, Fosdike, Mathews.

Get rid of Mathews pronto, please Roos! We know he's your love child but seriously play Kristin Thornton instead.

Matthew Laidlaw looked good, he'll be a gun.

While a long way from his best I thought Jude was ok today. He was getting a bit of the ball and was in the packs where he belongs, and was not always earlier in the season.

If were going to make a charge we cant drop all the players who have made the engine tick over.

Ben Mathews was nowhere today though and for a player who has played so many seasons know he does this too often.

He is the vet I would drop.

Do we have any more to drop. There's not enough players on our list to cover them all.

We actually have some really good players in the reserves, and we saw that yesterday when Laidlaw played his first game. He was much better than Mathews. Its saying something isn't?

Bring in some new blood Roos!

get rid of mathews, so shmidt can have a full time role,
get rid of bevan so vogels/moore can have a shot
get rid of seagull so one of vogels/moore/thornton can have a go.

Jude was OK yesterday. At least he's still hard at the footy - The same can't be said for McVeigh and Mathews.

Keep Jude, drop McVeigh and Mathews.

Bring in Schneider and Moore.

Jude Bolton is the heart & soul of the Bloods. He's forever getting his head split open for his teammates.

Schneider got torn apart by an Irish first gamer last week because he showed NO RESPECT!
That's why he deserves another couple games in the twos. Matthews & Dempster are a liabilty at the moment & I think Laidlaw will replace Dempster as a fixture in the backline very, very soon.

Dempster would make a better wingman IMO. He has no awareness & gets caught often which is punishing in the backline for the team. LRT will be back soon enough but Leo might get a week by the MRP. I'd like to see Vogels get told that he is going to play for 5 or 6 weeks without getting dropped. He's pissing against the wind under Roos unfortunately. Ben Matthews unfortunately doesn't hurt the opposition. He's just too negative. Kirky can do both roles. He shuts down opponents & is a pain in the arse to them when he's got it. So Benny's just gotta go...............sorry Benny....& thanks for your good service but time to make way. Your GF effort last year was a clear message to Roos & I honestly had Benny retiring after that but obviously Roosy couldn't make the hard call.
Hall was dropped for the Geelong game..............................to save him from embarrasment & to stop the negativity in the forward line which has engulfed the other forwards. ROK has even caught the negative bug. Forget this groin injury crap. Hall was plainly & simply dropped so he could have a think about what's needed & expected from him. The last Q against the Pies he started leading & chasing & not throwing his arms in the air & whamo.............he kicked two goals & missed one from a charity free kick. He's never ever been given free kicks in front of goal & we've won a flag & just missed another. WHY oh WHY does he all of a sudden need to cry every time he is in a contest that doesn't go his way.

A star has been born for the Bloods. And next year it's time to make him our Captain. Time after time he rebounded & covered more ground & took more risks & hit more targets under pressure then any other player on the ground.

Yes.............Nick Malceski!!!

He will poll plenty of Brownlow votes this year & should be a mile in front in the club best & fairest.

Unfortunately, & I hate to say it, Kennely will not be part of our plans after 2008 & if we are out of the finals race for this year, then we are going to have to unearth some new talent. Kennely will go & we get nothing for him so Roos has to make the hard call some time next year if he is to rebuild this team with the retirement of a few players.

I love Tadgh but he won't be part of our future. If we struggle through the rest of the season, then Roosy should let him go a year early.
Last chance this week against Freo!
If we lose.....................be ready for some new blood to get games week in week out. We will all need to get our heads around not seeing MOL, Benny, Everitt & a few that just will never make it.
And a few that will be tossed around as trade bait. Nick Davis for one!
Laidlaw, Thornton, Schmidt will be the future Bloods led by Malceski & Jude Bolton. No way Jude is to be dropped.

But..........................we're not done with just yet & my thoughts about the future may just have to be postponed a little.

Cheers to all!:)

by the way u guys are talking, the whole midfield should be dropped. they just need to lift thats all.

Bolton is a rolled gold HACK. He is slow, is the worst centre clearance player of all time (always second to it), no idea how to rove to Spida (no idea how to rove full stop) cant kick, kicks round corners, holds the world record for missing set shots from under 30 metres, holds the world record for out of bounds on the full, poor overhead, for a midfielder kicks staggeringly few goals (Schmidt has played about 25% of his time this season but kicks goals) does precious little working back into defence or pushing forward, too slow to get on a lead, rarely by himself in space, only marginally better than Bevan for getting run down from behind, dives on the ball but no idea how to handpass off, is a horrible handpass, rarely gets above 20 possessions which for a midfielder in todays game is unforgiveable, is just plain scrappy, cant play anywhere but on the ball hence no versatility, his shorts are too baggy -but does great player interviews for the club mag.

Hard to read Nico! Normally have a lot more clarity :D

In any case I agree with all of the above.
