I have a number of files (MP3's, pictures, documents etc..) on the business computer, and wish to send them to my home computer, but MP3's won't fit on to floppys, and Hotmail won't accept files so large being sent through.

Is there a website that allows people to host their files for free in the action of downloading them on to another computer?

Cheers.

Not sure about whether a website will do that, free ones usually have small limits.

My suggestions:

a) burn them onto CD if your work has a burner

b) take your hard disk home and copy them

I use Symantec's PCanywhere which is pretty slow but works well. just leave my computer turned on at night set up as a host and dial up from home.

You could try www.freedrive.com which I've used a few times and found it works quite well but only used it for small files. It worked well when I had to go to Melbourne for business and wanted to take a file that would have taken a dozen floppy's.

yeap, you can use a program like filesplitter, or file slicer to slice up the files.. copy to floppies etc etc... a bit of a hassle when u have many files...

i had this problem recently...
there USED to be many many free storage sites... many of them have started charging fees.. hard to find a free one these days..

eventually found one that suited me best was YAHOO briefcase....
http://briefcase.yahoo.com/
just simply register, and then it allows u to upload to a max of 30mb...

tho, each file must be less than 5mb...

give that a go... cheers
