I've never been big on trading, hence this innane question.

The Players I had that rose equalled $583 K
The Players I had that dropped equalled $179 K
The rest didn't change.

Shouldn't I have $404K extra in my salary cap now?

The Salary cap doesnt really exist anymore. The number listed next to that is how much spare cash you have. The rest of your money is tied up in the value of players.

You are limited by the value of your players and the players that you want to get.

Your team will be worth another 404k which is listed under the heading 'team value' on the left hand side.

You dont magically get another 404k in your account to spend. In order to get the 404k you have to sell(trade) some players (ie. the rookies that have gone up in price)

Exactly. It's like the stock market.

You buy Rio Tinto for $100.

The price raises to $150. But nothing changes in your wallet cause you're still holding the stock.

In todays market, you'll be lucky if it only went down to $20.

And the wallet does change cause someone boosts it?
