you're kidding yourself if you think this is the case. We had no real matchup for Williams. Welsh would have been the best matchup, but after 3 weeks out he would have been rusty. Ryder or Fletcher should take care of Franklin. Also if Jacobs is out against us, that will be another major boost. Cant believe we had the choice to get rid of him and Bolton and we got rid of him

I'm sorry, but did i miss hawthorn's good game, their "breakout" win? Nope, coz they havent had one! Teh ybeat Geelong in Tassie when Geelong have never played there before - by 4 points. They beat argueably the worst team in the comp this year, the kangas, but not much more, and they beat Melbourne, a team who is yet to register a win against anyone.

Lets recap Essendon's matches. 5 goal win against one of last years prelim finalists, AWAY! 10 point win against the other preilm finalists, who made it look closer than it was in the last 5 mins. 6 goal win against the club many have tipped as Victorias best chance to win a flag. Not too shabby if you ask me.
