just go to your 'user cp' then click on 'edit options' then go to the bottom of the page and click on 'upload' or 'change avartar' and choose an image no bigger than 50x50 pixels in size and smaller than 20kb off your hard-drive.

I think you need at least 20 posts to get your own one.

As you can see, I havr attempted to create my own avatat from a larger picture, re-sized to fit the 50x50 pixel criteria - but it dosen't look too good! How do I get an image so it stands out and actually looks good? Can anyone help?
