And Liam Pickering (Sherman's manager) reckons the Harbrow pick will be offered.
It's a possibility - I dare say the deal wont be done until the end of trade week given the pick could be downgraded slightly in other deals first.

Looks like Sherman preferring to go to Richmond was BigFooty bunkum.

Who would have thunk it.

Because we don't want to pay a ridiculous contract for an average player. Already confirmed that's why we've gone cold on him and hence why he wants to go to the Dogs.

Sherman has been interested in the Bulldogs from the moment they showed interest.

The "He wants go to Richmond" rubbush over the past fortnight was going against everything I heard.

Who was posting that? I'm not too fussed either way. Haven't wanted him from the get go, wouldn't be a good fit at Richmond and would rather keep the 2nd round pick and use it on a kid.

Yup, and trade thread on your board has forecasted Houli @ 300k and Grigg @ 330k..

Thats the difference with us mate, we CAN afford to pay players a decent salary instead of throwing 80% of our cap at 3 - 4 players!

Couldnt give a stuff what they earn aslong as they perform onfield!

tigers will struggle to meet the tpp minimum this year so the money isnt the issue. richmond has had to front load all of martin, cotchin, riewoldts contracts

the pick that would be required to be traded is the issue & to be honest 90% of tiger supporters didnt want sherman so its a good result all round

thanks bulldogs

good result all round then, he doesnt fit our needs atm & we would be better off selecting young talent like jacobs, smedts or someone that may slide.

keep in mind that our 2nd rounder is very early and better positioned than the dogs pick.

good luck hope he does well.

I just hope the trade, if goes ahead with Dogs, gets completed it our terms rather than us accepting any downgraded offers.

Think it happens very often going by recent trade history, hope Lions draw the line and deal in their terms.

 Love to borrow your crystal ball.

Willing to pay overs for two players who were struggling to break into 22 @ their respective teams.

After all crazy Vossy calls, I would love to see tiggers come out and defend these trades (if n when they go ahead).. :D

I don't rate them that highly and I'm not sure about it but I don't see your point here. Houli will probably come in the PSD, Grigg a very late pick. Minimum wage is about 260k+ these days and we're struggling to meet the minimum cap anyways. Sherman will cost an early 2nd round pick on top of the 400k+, that's the difference. Picks are important to me, would never want to throw away a 2nd rounder for Sherman or in your case a late first rounder.

Loveing the fact sherman could very well be in a dogs jumper next season. Love watching him play. And LOL at the richmond fan saying his an avg player. Would be in your best 22 easily. EASILY!!

Is that why he was dropped a couple of times by Brisbane this year? Might get a game for us but I think you're overrating him a fair bit. Can be good when on song with his ability to go forward and pace but very inconsistent, has a lack of footy smarts in general play and has average skills. He's better than Grigg and Houli but not worth it in our situation for the better picks as I said above. Much rather use that on a kid.
