Ok lets face it, we need Kade Simpson to improve his kicking and while he's not bad all the time he's often below par. Kicking short passes he's ok but over a distance and in front of goal he gets it wrong. He gets a lot of the ball which is a bad thing at times because he turns it over a lot. So what is he doing wrong?
1. Balance: he waves the ball/his arms from side to side when he's moving to kick and it's putting him off balance and causing him to not strike the ball in the middle. He needs to keep his arms still and this should help keep the rest of his body still and and give him a better look at the ball during his ball drop. Hard to watch a ball onto your boot if your waving it around.
2. Stride. He needs to take longer strides and longer and slower strides on a set shot at goal. He actually shortens his strides as he's about to kick which will affect his balance a little and reduce the leverage he gets. It'll affect his follow through as well and might result in him bending his leg on the follow through.
