Been listening to this and Dropout all weekend and today... write it down now, this is the album of the year. No doubt about it. Touch the Sky being my favourite, but almost every track has you nodding your head, stomping your feet and that's a rarity these days, at least for me.

Pitchfork Media Review

Contrary to popular opinion, hubris does have a righteous appeal. Those who claim Kanye West's antics hinder his work are missing the point. His self-importance is obvious, but the arrogance that comes pre-packaged with his insecurity is what makes West the most interesting hip-hop figure of the past five years. That's the reason he landed on "Oprah" and the cover of Time Magazine last week, rather than 50 Cent or Nelly or Slug. It's not sales; it's souls.

I've heard a few tracks on JJJ and it sounds really good. While I'm not a massive fan of that kind of music, I can certainly appreciate his talents.

Anyone hear him on that New Orleans telethon - he gave it to Prez Bush, said he hated blacks etc.

Kanye was funny, he was stuttering and really nervous as he was saying that stuff about GWB. I reckon he thought he might get picked off or something.

if I remember correctly, Mike Myers is a very high profile George W. Bush supporter - and having seen the video of Kanye's tantrum, Myers appeared to be VERY uncomfortable.

watch and see the frequency of his head turning rise.
