I was just driving home back from the supermarket and listening to SEN with our dear friend KB hosting. His bottom four:

16th: Melbourne
15th: Carlton
14th: Richmond
13th: Essendon

Seriously he knows that Richmond are bad but can't be professional enough to actually make Richmond finish below Carlton. Any professional tipper would not do such a thing.

KB you're a tool!

a bloke rang up yesteday and claimed without being bias that his prediction 2008 were richmond/saints grannie, blues for spoon, deledio for coleman and polo to win the brownlow. the funniest thing, this guy was dead serious, and they even gave him a prize.

I just wish that KB would do ALL AFL Supporters a favour & stay away from commentating on the game or talk back radio completely.....

Just like he stayed away from his beloved Richmond Football Club for how many years??????? You are a senile OLD MAN KB & the game has gone past you in oh so may ways..... get with the times or get out of it completely

This will make for an interesting thread to revisit at the end of the season, yet somehow I get the feeling it might go missing. ;)

why would we let it go missing? the chance to rub this into the face of KB at the end of the season... as if we would pass up that opportunity! :D

Why would it go missing ?..more like the tigers supporters innundating our board with their brain dead garbage, will go missing ..as they win yet another spoon .

But thats all good

The tigers board tried to make this thread go away ...which is understandable as it makes them look like morons :D

Doesn't matter if it goes missing but we're talking about today... comparing lists and promise for this year 99.99% of X-AFL footballers and commentators have Richmond finishing below Carlton.

Carlton has a lot of good young player in the 22-25 age bracket, a new coach that is not senile, and some great off season recruiting.

You look Kreuzer is ready to play VS Cotchin is injured.
Judd, Hadley and Pfeiffer compared to your trades and pre season draft pick (Gourdis, McMahon)

We have a top 3 Full forward in the comp in the prime of his career compared to Richo whom was great but is not going to be the man he once was.

Then we fail to talk about on their day game breakers in Waite and Fisher. Then a midfield boasting of Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens, Simpson, Scotland, Carazzo etc.

Both our backlines have lot to be desired.. but Jamisson is looking good for us and Waite can do the job, and Thornton although looking rusty at the moment at his best he'll handle easily the 3rd best forward.

Just looking at the lists and timing of things Carlton has an upper hand in 2008.

Even the betting agencies have $31 for Carlton to win the premiership compared to $81 for Richmond.

Whether Richmond finish higher than us or not, just looking at things from this moment Richmond just don't appear to me to be able to finish higher than the blues.

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out, imagine if Richmond 2nd on the ladder and Carlton finished top, wouldn't that piss the Tigers fans off, they finish 2nd and still cant finish higher than Carlton :p

KB knows that he is on a winner baiting us...we just can't resist biting back and he keeps all the other clubs fans happy:D

Most of the football pundits these days are more like shock jocks than serious football commentators anyway.

Realistically we could finish that low, we could also just sneak into the eight if everything goes right for us:):thumbsu:

It is a very tough year to predict where teams will finish, probably one of the more even years for a long time. Even Geelong who seem to have the most depth would be vulnerable if they lost Ottens or Mooney.

Every year dumb aspects of the media pick last years bottom teams to stay there, and last years premiers to stay up top.

We all know it doesnt happen that way.

Do I care that KB has us down there?

No.

Wouldn't worry.........he had Fitzroy and South Melbourne in the top 5.:thumbsu::eek:

KB lost the plot a long time ago

the 4 he has in his 'bottom 4' are the most likely to end up there at seasons's end, BUT he has got the order wrong.

FWIW ... I actually think Carlton will finish around 10th this season and will make a run at the finals in 2009.

Pre Christmas I was certain that Essendon were the team to win the spoon this year but I was surprised at the development of the younger players in the NAB Cup, they actually played some good fotty

With Rodney Eade under the pump big time at the doggies he needs a big turn around in fortunes as believe he is an even money bet to be the first coach sacked (along with Wallace) this season. They do not appear to have improved from last season and their better players, apart from Cooney, are older eg Johnson & West.

My honest opinion about Richmond is we will probably finish 14 or 15 this year with a much bigger jump nexy season.

A lot of the improvement I can see in Richmond and Carlton depends on luck with injuries.

The fewer injuries our clubs have to manage the better the on field performance will be and the quicker the development for the younger talent in our teams.

Kudos to you mate...

A non-deluded Richmond supporter who thinks that every word that KB, Wallet and Miller the mullet says it gospel.

I honestly think that the spoon is going to be a tossup between Richmond, Essendon and Melbourne with possibly the bummers winning the battle for the spoon.

If Richmond finish 14th this year, it will be an excellent year for you with that waste of space wallet running the show...
