Their coach refused to learn the rules and the players trained with round balls, but somehow Keebra Park High, the best rugby league school in Australia, did what many at the Australian Rugby Union must have considered unthinkable and beat them at their own game.

Its not such a surprise they won, but they seem to develop some great talent up there.

Where I am, the local schools asked a few of the RL sides to play some Union, they ended up playing one of the champion schools at the 15 a side game and smashed them, they played a few more games winning them all and decided it wasn't worth their time or effort so they stuck with RL.

I noticed no one questioned me on the Keebra Park boys winning the Junior AR 9 a side comp, why's that?

It's some feat winning both a Union and AR comp, only 3 of the boys had played any Union before and only one boy had ever played Aussie Rules.

They won 64-10, pretty impressive I'd say.

Wow. That's an impressive result even if it's only 9 a side.

To top it off I hear their B side made the semis too. As I said, it seems to be a very good school in regards to developing young sportspeople.
