When is he back from injury? Where is he at with his footy? Surely this is his make or break year and at the moment it isn't looking too good IMO.

I think he can become a good player for us either down back (like AK) or up forward to stretch small defences.

at the moment it doesnt look good for him. i would think there would be at least 5 players cut at years end to make room for the superdraft. who else is there to go?

Rodan
Staff (love/loved him but methinks even he knows this is the final year)
Humm
Moore

And any spot we might be able to snare with a trade.

Chaffey's inability to get on the park so far might spare him for another year.

Rodan coming back from a knee should given one more go IMV. We may be able to trade him but his value would be too low so I say keep him for depth, he may still came good.

Stafford, Play him off the bench as a forward/Ruck option 10-15 games. Still need experienced players and he is quality so I say keep as well.

Humm is a rookie and a spare bits player, needs a chance to prove himself but may miss out.

Moore has to be given more time. I think he wil came good. Add him with Thursfield and we may start to see replacements for Kellaway and Gaspar, no rush to get rid of them.

After saying all that we have delist someone some one so whoknows?

I know Moore personally, and the reported injury is false. The media state he is suffering from a hip injury, where as it has actually been groin strain which he has re-injured since doing it in the pre-season.

Moore will be back to full strength training anytime with-in the next two weeks, and should be avaliable about round ten.

I think he is actually right ATM but they are taking it easy as he needs a desperate chance to save his career.

We must remember that Moore is with in the top5-7 players when it comes to pace. He would be greatly suited to play on players such as Tarrant, Hall etc. All the players who prefer to rely on leads when they recieve the ball.

He is in the deep end at this stage, but he will be given a great chance to save his career.

TW also rates Moore higher than most fans would think.

We have to cut at least 3 players every year right?

I would say:

One of Moore/Rodan/Roach
Stafford - retired
Chaffey - retired

Can we delist Roach and then rookie draft him? If so, I say do that :thumbsu:

I think Humm still counts as a rookie?

Yes, Humm is still a rookie (if Thursfield was to be fit and ready later in the season he would go back onto the rookie list). This is also the final year he is eligible as a rookie.

Weaver might be able to assist, but I think we only have one veteran listed this year, so assuming Gaspar and Richo are still around next year we may have another spot available by listing both of them outside the main list. Would mean we only need to cut 2 players from the list to meet the minimum requirement of drafting 3 players.

i would think that given the quality on offer in this years draft the club will be wanting to clear at least four, maybe five spots on the list. might be some heartbreaking decisions made to improve the list even further. fwiw i hope moore makes it.

you would say chaff and staff will be retired. after that moore and roach are prime candidates atm. if those two have reasonably good 2nd halves to the season then it gets difficult (i for one hope they do, roachy is a favorite name at tigerland and kel has pace and is tall). rodan is under contract, limbach and mcguane have looked promising and are taller long term projects. so who goes? there might be some pain come seasons end.

Is there some way that N.Brown and Deledio can have a kid together so we can draft them under F&S?

At the end of the day (or year, to precise), Id cut any of the 5 lowest performing kids currently on our list, in order to draft some new hopefuls from this so called 'superdraft'. Now I know Weaver insists that after the first 15-20, its no different than any other draft, but I still have a feeling we can get something better out of this, than we currently have in terms of struggling players.

Roach has about of Heath Shaw about him. Might be worth another season, actully looked decent before his injury.

Rodan is contracted another year. Moore should go, as hes shyte.

Chaffey
Stafford
Knobel - Cut him and use Pattison as 2nd ruck in 2007 or Hall and Schulz CHB
Humm - Can't be rookied next year

Can we rookie draft Roachy if we delisted him? We would save a senior spot then

I think Rodan deserves another year because it takes tim to recover from a knee reco. Moore has barely played this year and deserves to get on the park before being cut.
