Hey guys n girls i was just wondering who you would rather on our list Lance Franklin or Josh Kenedy

Let's not forget that Franklin has an extra years experience on J.K. However if the option was given now I would take Buddy in a second. He is a magnificent footballer and has shown A LOT more than J.K. has. Not only is he a tall, fast skillful excitement machine he can also hold down CHF as a KPP player. I havent seen much of J.K. but promises to be a good pack breaking CHF in the future.

Buddy for me

After just watching Buddy turn it up in the last quarter I would have to say Franklin at this stage....

That was an awesome blast from Buddy in the last quarter. Sets up a pretty good match next week down in Launceston.

Well Franklin because he's a proven player who's definately going to be a superstar while Kennedy has shown plenty of signs he's yet to prove he'll be a superstar of the game. You'd take the certainty of Franklin.

However Franklin has had an extra year in the system, while Kennedy lost the majority of his first year recovering from shoulder surgery and then a collasped lung so you have to take that into account when comparing the two. While its pretty certain that Franklin will be a star it could turn out that Kennedy will turn out to be a bigger star... or at least a much more positive influence on team dynamics as a genuine traditional CHF in the mold of Brown, Hall and Carey.

BTW I was very happy with Kennedy's game on the weekend. Still has a few areas to work on but with Waite in defense he provided an good second/third tall target up forward. He's coming along nicely.

Franklin is a squib. He is not a CHF as people say. He is a HFF and a good HFF at that. He doesn't take many contested marks or marks in general... He is/will be a good HFF but he is not the gun CHF people make him out to be.

He is further advanced than Kennedy so of course you would have to say Franklin.

Unfortunatly for us I can't see Kennedy ever doing some of the stuff Buddy can do. No doubt Kennedy will be an awesome player, but Buddy is a freak.

I'd swap my left one, just to see Frankiln in our team.

As it stands now, Franklin by a mile.

But he's also has alot more games under his belt than JK so its an unfair comparison.

Franklin has that X factor and pure freak ability, but maybe Kennedy will develope into a more consistent player.

Im happy to have JK on our team, im sure he'll be a champion.

Franklin is a one-off player. He's 6'6" and can do things that midfielders do. Kennedy will be a crash-and-bash CHF, who will get to alot of contests, and whatever he doesn't mark, he'll bring the ball to ground for the runners to feast on.

A tough one:)

Franklin is a freak who can do the extraordinary, but I think JK is a better option for our team balance. JK will be a very good crash and bash CHF who will bring others into the game. Perhaps not as explosive as Buddy, but he'll do the job for us:thumbsu: We also haven't really played him as a CHF yet so that also complicates things:D

As has been mentioned Franklin although absolutly brilliant on the ground doesn't seem as good in the air. Considering JK's injuries and where we have been playing him, perhaps it would be fairer to compare them in a couple of years:)

I would be happy with either:thumbsu:

Kennedy looks pretty good, and a decent foil for Fevola. I'm happy to have him in our team, and with his development so far. Why compare him to a totally different player, who is a year older and playing for a different club?

I'm very happy with Kennedy, but seriously, Franklin is an absolute freak. The things he can do at ground level are phenomenal for a big man, a decent mark but when the ball hits the ground he kills them. There'd be few young forwards who I'd pick before Franklin, would love him in my team.

Here and now...Franklin.

Mind you, if Kennedy had kicked straight and a couple of kicks to him carried an extra 1/2 metre he could have easily had 3-4 goals.

He presented well and allowed Fev to stay closer to home where he's more dangerous.

i would take Kennedy. Kennedy is more of a Jonathon Brown type and that is just so rare and so outstanding that you can build a premiership winning team around it.

Huge call that!
Kennedy is more like a classier version of Earl Spalding.

I would take Kennedy.

Kennedy is more of a KPP. Frankilin will be a good HFF, but cant take a contested mark.

People over-rate Franklin because of his hieght.

2 bags of 6 against Richmond and a bag of 5 yesterday against Melbourne......big call saying he is over-rated.

I think we may be letting our bias get in the way here.......

Then again we will whip them in Tassie this week.
