Haven't heard a whisper yet. Anyone know what the prognosis is?

Call me bitter, but i cant help feeling that both tackles (Pickett's and Bateman's - at least I think it was Bateman) were both illegal in the sense that Tadhg had disposed of the ball before the tackle was effected and the player went on with it in a reckless manner. Both tackles featured the tackler using his legs in the tackle to bring Tadhg down, and ultimately cause the injury. I'm pretty sure thats against the rules. Its not judo.

I also cant help wondering if Bateman would have been quite so zealous if it had been say Paul Bevan he was tackling. Tadhg is clearly a star on this team and you therefore must expect extra attention.

Not suggesting either incident was premeditated. Just avoidable. Thoughts?

Kennelly out for at least four

SYDNEY Swans defender Tadhg Kennelly has been ruled of AFL action for four to six weeks after scans on an injured knee revealed serious damage to the joint.

The scans today showed Kennelly had bruised the bone on his right knee, the same knee he dislocated earlier this season.

Swans doctor Nathan Gibbs said that Kennelly had landed heavily in last week's win over Hawthorn at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, causing blunt force trauma.

But he said there was no evidence of surface damage, ruling out the need for surgery.

Fortunately for the Swans, one weekend of Kennelly's absence will be taken up with their bye this weekend.

I think i speak for everyone when i say BUGGER. So we can expect him back for round 15 at best. Who do you all think will replace Kennelly in the lineup. I think Jack should get a second go personally but im probably in the minority.

liz posted on RWO that she heard on Fox Sports News that he's going to miss 4 - 6 weeks and that he doesn't need surgery but they think there is some bone bruising in his knee.

Knowing Tadhg he'll be back in 3? He's a tough one and we really need him.

I may be wrong but isnt he injured at the moment?

Nope. He played in the reserves last weekend and there's been talk that he'd be returning after the break. Unfortunately though the reserves didn't play on the weekend and don't play this weekend either, so we don't really know if he'll be ready. But even if he doesn't come in for the Collingwood game, he'd be a good chance for the Geelong game if nothing happens between now and then.

This is just so disappointing.
He has been such an integral part of our team and no one can deny the fact we suffer badly without him (our win-lose ration with-without him is remarkable).

Here's hoping he can make another quick (and full) recovery in 3 weeks, so 2 games with the bye.

with Ablett and Crouch likely to be back it will be one of them and possibly Bevan or Schmidt to make way. Personally I'm still holding out hope that they'll send Mcveigh back to the 2s for a stint.

I'd love to see A. Stint come into the side:p
