Haven't heard a whisper yet. Anyone know what the prognosis is?
Call me bitter, but i cant help feeling that both tackles (Pickett's and Bateman's - at least I think it was Bateman) were both illegal in the sense that Tadhg had disposed of the ball before the tackle was effected and the player went on with it in a reckless manner. Both tackles featured the tackler using his legs in the tackle to bring Tadhg down, and ultimately cause the injury. I'm pretty sure thats against the rules. Its not judo.
I also cant help wondering if Bateman would have been quite so zealous if it had been say Paul Bevan he was tackling. Tadhg is clearly a star on this team and you therefore must expect extra attention.
Not suggesting either incident was premeditated. Just avoidable. Thoughts?
