Kidd served young LBJ his arse tonight.

Kidd held LeBron to 14 points, and ended the game with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 treys, a steal and a block.

This Kidd guy is pretty fucking special.

bit harsh on the kid

lebron still had 14 points, 9 assists,4 boards and a steal.didnt shoot to well, but it would be a good experience for him playing against the best PG in the Biz.

Kidd gave him a hiding, not harsh at all.

the kid is a rookie,of cause he is going to get beaten a lot in his rookie year, and for his first couple for that matter.nothing to write home about.Fair enough I harp on about TD abit, but you are no better with kidd.take off your rose-coloured glasses.

Explain how i have "rose-coloured" glasses on about Kidd.

He is the best PG in the game, by a mile, and legitimately schooled LeBron. I fail to see how any of that proves that i overrate him.

Right, and how exactly is saying he got beaten by Kidd, harsh?

It is a FACT

And no, he isn't going to get beaten "a lot" in his rookie year. He's been beaten about 5 times in his 32 games so far, hardly a lot.

every time kidd has a decent game you have to bring it up.as you said to me last night about TD and I respect your view.it goes both ways.........

we all know how good kidd is

I have brought him up twice this year. The guy now has 6 triple doubles. How does that constitute "every time"?

I still fail to see how me highlighting Kidd's brilliant performances twice shows i have rose coloured glasses on. I assume you know what rose-coloured glasses means, so can you please explain how one relates to the other?

Um, what are you talking about? I said Kidd beat James, something you agreed with, i then said Kidd was a great player, you agreed.

You've totally lost me mate.

BTW Last night i raised your derision of Karl Malone, nothing to do with Duncan.

Stop being so defensive about your precious TD. We all know he is a champion, and well on his way to all-time great status, but really, chill a little mate.

and there were others, but i couldn't be ****ed getting into it.just remember it goes both ways.

as to the rose coloured glasses, kidd is the best point guard in the NBA.no argument here.he is also one of the biggest cancers in the NBA whenever things go wrong, kidd shirks reponsiblity.i could go on and on,but i wont. Its pretty clear.look into his past....im sorry im not a fan of blokes who hit females.no matter how many points they score.

Kidd beat him hands down. LBJ was good in the first half, then went very quiet, I think about 11 of those points were in the first half??

Kidd is an awesome player, his awareness of where his team mates are, and his ability to get it to them is freakish. With RJ stepping up, and Kittles in good form and K.Mart doing his bit, they make an awesome team. Collins is questionable. They are one player short of a very very strong team, none the less, still have an awesome team.

Kidd fared exactly how you would expect the best point guard in the L to fare against the rookie.

You would expect a top PG to get near a triple double about LBJ?

LeBron has beaten almost every PG in the league. Kidd nearing a triple double on the kid is not run of the mill.

Well, it's not nearly as exciting as how Luke Ridnour went today...........;)

Ah, that was clearly in relation to your constant, lame and childish taunts aimed at Karl Malone.

What football club do you support again? Those in glass houses.................

I've lowered myself enough in this discussion, time to exit stage left. Let me know when you get over the childish jealousy that clouds every comment about the greats of the game (of course the ones who aren't Spurs).

Ably assisted by Kerry Kittles. Kittles has not turned it over in his last 5 games while he has been racking up the steals all year. He is averaging 2 steals a game and less than a t/o a game.

I agree with Jerry

Kidd is an amazing player but he does clearly have serious issues...

He got his first coach fired at Cal...He was run out of town in Dallas...he was once again run out of time in Phoenix and now he is trying to get his coach fired in New Jersy...

He is as selfish off the court as he is unselfish on the court...

I love the way he plays but I would not want him at the Lakers.

What about at the Bulls? ;)

No doubting that Kidd has had issues with coaches in the past, but it's exactly that, in the past.

He has led this joke of a franchise to the big dance, that is something you cannot deny, no matter how much you dislike him.

A claim you aren't qualified to make, unless of course you know Mr. Kidd personally.

Marc Stein wrote an excellent piece on Kidd on ESPN recently, and he quoted former Dallas owner Frank Zaccanelli: He is a champion on the court, no doubt about that, but off the court he is a very selfish man and has little to no respect for his coaches. His treatment of and attitude towards Byron Scott has been nothing short of unnacceptable.

Don't spare Kidd any blame, even if you love watching him play as much as we do, because his non-support for Scott has been shameful. The world knows Scott won't last beyond this season, since he didn't get a contract extension after two straight trips to the championship round. So if Kidd can't suck it up and throw his support behind Scott for the next six months, after all the success they've enjoyed together, he deserves a deep stain on an image he had cleaned up considerably since being arrested for striking his wife in the spring of 2001.

"As great a player as he is, there has always been something missing with this guy," said Frank Zaccanelli, the former Dallas Mavericks part-owner who traded Kidd to Phoenix on the day after Christmas in 1996.

"As unselfish as he is on the court," Zaccanelli continued, "he's the complete opposite off the court. I've seen it from up close. He has never liked a coach he has played for. Never."

As for your Luke Ridnour comment, the kid weighs less than a plastic drink bottle, I don't think anyone would throw him against Payton on that night ;)

Are you somhow qualified to say that I am wrong... You then must know himm personally...

Mate you really need to get a reality check...just becasue he is a good player does not mean he is a good person...

Good people do not beat their wives...and that is on record!

What would he know he obviously does not know Kidd personally... :D
