As far as I know, these contract extensions apply from when the original ends. Thats how it works in many other sports.Correct me if I'm wrong, but usually when these contract extensions are signed the original contract is torn up and replaced by the new one.
So Sandi hasn't signed a new contract to take effect after next year, but rather replaced his current contract with a new 4 year one.
So Bels is correct - it's a new 4 year deal, not a 3 year one that suddenly kicks in after 2010.
I notice the Worst have started back on the Pav going back to Adelaide stories today. To be expected I suppose given we are 4 months away from the season and he has another year to run on his current contract and laughed at the suggestion last time it was brought up.
