Thats right, cause i always supported rafa, through and through, even when fed whipped his ass 62 62, i was still there, unlike fed fans who are nowhere to be found (hello mrs_richo, gaelictioger, geddy lee, ricketts and company) and now that success is sweet, cause of all the shit i copped from you people over the years saying "rafa doesnt have enough power, rafa will break down, he is a dud out of clay", its time for me to be celebrate, who gives a shit if you dislike me or rafa???

Accept it, when i argued with you, that 26 is the peak age for any tennis player, you made fun of me, who is right now?? history shows (except agassi), a tennis player goes on a steady decline after that. I am right and you are wrong, federer is going downhill.
I am neither a Fed fan nor a Nadal fan but I am hugely impressed with what Nadal is doing and will give him full credit for everything he has achieved thus far. He is amazingly determined.

Now he is over 800 points ahead of federer with federer having to defend US open, 1 masters series title and masters cup title :D and rafa, only 225 points to defend. It will take a monumental effort from Federer or Djoker to prevent the king from finishing number 1. Long live the new king. :) :) :)

wrong.Nadal is a natural right hander, he does everything righthanded except tennis. He will have far more power and control than federer if he was left handed:thumbsu:
Uh, no. If he plays tennis left handed, for the purposes of the dicussion, he is left handed. Who gives a stuff about which hand he eats or writes with. He has grown up playing left handed- he has all the power and control a naturally right handed (or left handed) player would have.

The point is, Nadal has such a unique advantage over virtually every other player out there. Anyone who has played at a reasonable standard of tennis knows that playing left handed players is considerably more difficult than playing right handers- the spin and variation is totally different. If Federer had that advantage, he would be totally unstoppable.

Looks like Fed will cross this off the list given Nadal's loss to Murray in the semi-final

Nadal will still have a handy 1100 point lead over federer.Unless Federer wins 2 TMS and TMC he wont have the number 1 ranking back, Rafa will finish this year as #1. Roger must be really really happy rafa lost in the semis, should be celebrating in grand style now

and what exactly makes you think roger will have good control left handed when he is a natural right hander? rafa is a natural right hander, he will have the strength roger wouldnt left handed.Since roger cant beat rafa, blame it on the left hander now...how about some credit to rafa? there are many left handers out there, how come fed is rafas bitch?? ever thought about it? everyone talks about his advantage blah blah, rafa has the formula to beat federer on any surface but the reverse is not true.

I noticed you whinging about people using excuses / no one giving credit to Nadal, but then you go and say that poor widdle Rafa was "clearly unwell and tired" which was the main reason behind his loss yesterday. There doesn't seem to be much credit given to Murray from you now does there?

84 matches this year, including some 4 hour battles, more than anyone this year. How is that an excuse? he said...coming into this tournament that he is not feeling well and is tired, before the tournament started. How is that an excuse? he was way below par in that match against Murray, at one stage he was gasping for oxygen.Murray played well and deserved to win on that day, no doubt, however that is not an excuse..its a FACT

Roger suffers glandular fever and that doesn't matter but Rafa is "tired" so that's all right then

As for Roger being his bitch.....purely explained by Roger being good enough to final on clay whereas Rafa is not good enough to fnal on hards. Away from clay their record is a totally different affair as you well know.

To be fair rafa is a great sportsman TP and the only thing that turns ppl on here off him is your ridiculous dislike of the greatest player who has played the game.

Really? come back to me when roger gets anywhere near him on RG surface?? why discount clay? can we discount grass then? comments like... if you dont count clay is absolutely pathetic. He got OWNED on his favourite surface, he ALMOST got OWNED last year but rafas knee was causing troubles, but this year, it should have been straight sets but federer fluked a tie breaker.

He has now won 4 masters series events on hard-indoor courts, surely, that means he is a dud isnt it? 2 wimbledon finals and 1 wimbledon trophy also doesnt mean anything now, does it??? keep digging

Is losing a tight 5 setter getting owned?

Why do you hate him so much? Most if not all reasonable and objective commentators regard him as the most beautifully talented player in the game and he is when on song a unique and freeflowing sight. I simply cannot understand the chippiness and disregard you show for him and your constant narkiness about his and turning ppl off your hero who is a marvellous example of defiancea dn willpower making up for a limited game.

You plead tiredness every time Rafa loses. of course he is tired. His whole game is built around constant physical labour and endurance. The whole point of Federer is that he is a sublime step above the athleticism and sweat of the normal baseline grunter. His propensity for unforceds is frustrating but on song TP he is the most completely talented tennisman any of us have seen.

if you hate Federer you hate tennis.

A spaniard, playing on grass court with an extreme western grip against the greatest grasscourter of all times....have you played tennis GT? do you know how grass neutralises topspin? do you know how difficult it is for claycourters to play moonball tennis on grass? yet, last year rafa ALMOST did it, but couldnt do it, but this year he did it...he OWNED federer. He was dominating the whole match, had less errors and more winners than Federer.

I dont care if people are turned off Nadal cause of me, i am sure you like Wayne carey? i am sure you like buddy franklin? i am sure you like Russell ebert? if you dislike any of those, you hate football. Not everyone liked sampras, agassi, courier, becker, lendl etc... it doesnt mean they hate tennis. Federer is an arrogant dimwit, his comments last year about rafa was disrespectful ,when he says, rafa is overly defensive and to beat him on non clay surfaces he has to change his game. His comments about murrays game last year at toronto masters was disrespectful , he said, murray is too defensive and wont win anything for a long time unless he changes his gameplan.Well well, fed got owned by same nadal next year, playing the same type of game. KARMA?? id say yes.

Who's fault is it for playing that many games??

That's what happens when you play on faster surfaces...

Choosing to play in all those tournaments isn't a valid excuse. Nadal does have a say in whether he plays in a tournament or not.

Rafa IS defensive. When faced with Murray who employed the same tactics at NY he was flummoxed. Totally impotent when asked to win the game rather than wait for his opponent to lose it.

Roger threw away the Wimbledon final with 25 more unforceds ( enough to win a set) than rafa played. Rafa didn't win. Roger beat himself. No one else can beat him on grass. Even Rafa playing as well as his limited game allows needed Roger to throw it across the net to him.

who said anything about fault?? how many tournaments did he win this year? oh wait, more slams more masters series, gold medal and other tourmaments. Who is miles above the rest?? oh wait, thats Nadal too...so he got burnt out big deal.

Tell me which tournaments he shouldnt play? this year olympics put extra burden on rafa, otherwise the schedule is perfectly fine.

because DEFENSE IS his game :rolleyes::rolleyes: but criticising someone cause they are defensive, saying he WONT WIN on grass with that game is an insult. He got his karma...as we have all seen.Should have got it last year, but oh well

FFS not everyone plays the same style YOU THINK is the best..why cant you just get that idea???

and tell me why those 25 more unforced erros came?? as i said you need to learn more about tennis, rafa forced the errors out of him, pinned him on the backhand side, that is his game, doesnt let fed hit the big forehand. FFS look into those stats, its not that difficult to analyse.Ever wondered why roger NEVER plays well against rafa? other than a couple of victories on hardcourt, in the other 10 victories, he ALWAYS had more errors than rafa, but hey...dont let the facts get in your way, federer never loses, he only donated charity wins .Keep believing that.I am still waiting for your rogers illness article.

So one minute you're stating that the reason why Nadal is "tired" is because he has played sooooo many games, yet then go on to state his schedule is "pefectly" fine apart from ONE extra tournament. Geez, the way you went on about it would make anyone believe that Nadal has played 10+ tournaments over everybody else.

leading upto US open yes.He won queens, he won wimbledon, he won canada, he won olympics, and made the semis of cinci, thats 5 tournaments in 8 weeks, where he played more tennis than anyone.Without olympics he could have had 2 extra weeks of rest...Fact.

Again, it was Nadal's choice to play that many tournaments. If he needs rest, then don't play. Fact.

It's like a footy player going into a game with an injury. Once that player crosses the line, they are fair game. The player and the club have nothing to complain about if that player comes off injured and doesn't come back on. Same as Nadal.

That's why I dislike Hewitt. Always tended to use injuries as an excuse. FFS, if you are injured, don't play!

olympics is an extraordinary event. Its not on the tennis calender every year.He played olympics cause he loves his country, unless roddick and company.

Not once nadal complained about injuries here.He was asked are u tired, before the tournament, he replied, what do you think.....did he complain? no he didnt. Thats the difference between hewitt and nadal.
