I wont be suprised or too disappointed if we do go a little backwards next year, but it's a 2 steps foward, 1 step backward scenario for mine.

We have a lot of kids who should get planty of game time this year like Howat, White, Hughes, JON etc...

But who knows, maybe they'll pull something out of the bag and do a Baby Bombers of 93:p

If they're a close group who'll do anything for each other and are committed to the same cause, anything is possible.

I dont think Kent would play any part of us going backwards next year if that happened to eventuate.

At least Kingsley will make Richo's kicking look good. Can you imagine those two and Browny in the same forward line - set shots will be like Tattslotto.

I'll take a chance here and say that KK could be handy for a year or two while Hughes is developing, and would give Schultz the chance to play back and start to learn how to read the play a bit better. No, Kingsley won't win us a flag, but there are positives.

Or am I just in denial?

My guess is you'll just finish 9th again. :P

And my guess is you'll just finish 10th again, hold another p***weak review, sack an assistant coach or two, keep your mediocre but 'colourful' players, spend the off season and your top two draft picks on another "made to fail" full forward, assure your fans that Nathan Ablett is ready to take the next step (and probably the same with Tom Hawkins), and go into damage control over the fact that Kent Kingsley kicked 62 goals in 2007 for some other team while Brad Ottens had three decent games for the season. Again.

Dude that's hilarious, have you eve considered opening for Steady Eddie?

Just a point of FACT, most people thought the Cats would play off for a premiership in 06, while alot of people thought Richmond would be bottom 2.

Remind me where you finished again?

Like one place on the ladder makes a whole lot of difference in the end. All it means is we get pick 7 and you get to pick up the scraps.

"I'm not really big on bringing people in just for the sake of it. For their sake as well as ours, you've got to think they're some chance of being able to get there (be drafted).

Sounds like we are quite keen.

Not a bad move.

Left-footer Cameron Howat, who came off the rookie list to play five senior games late this season, was the runaway winner of the Tan lap before the players returned to Punt Road Oval for 45 minutes of ball drills.

Big year for Howat?

"This year we had 14 players who ran under 14 minutes and last year we had four.

Nice.
