Anyone Got one???

The misses just had a Demo tonight and while it is an awesome machine they spin a heap of crap and have clever sales techniques i could see right through!! At the end of the Demo i asked "How much"???? He opened his folder $3995

FFS Its a Vacuum not a car!!! I then told him i was on Ebay before and i saw this... Identical to what he is selling.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/KIRBY-ULTIMA...3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318

I then told him that you told the misses it has a 40yr guarantee so this one on Ebay cant be to bad can it if Kirby guarantee it for 40yrs. He wasnt happy and tried to explain but what if this happens and you need that you wont have warranty buying second hand etc etc.... I then said i wont be spending 4k either FFS!! So i will take my chances on the Ebay one!!

He dropped the price to $2800 immediately and i said NO.

Not worth that much in my opinion but it does work well.

After he left the misses says to me... " I knew you were going to look up the price on the Net and tell him, after he told you how much he wanted" !!!

I then said "Bloody oath if he can sell it for that much he is making money on it so i will cut him out and buy one myself"!!!

My experience with Kirby Tonight!!! I must admit he was not to pushy and didn't pressure the sale with me while i was in there listening to his crap with the misses! Had i not been there it might of been different but the misses would never pay that much for a Vacuum anyway!

I'd be dubious about buying anything from a salesman who dropped 1200 bucks off the price of anything, so quick. He totally devalued his product in a wink.

Do yourself a favour, make your Mrs happy and go buy a Dyson. They are all fabulous, expensive but will suck every ounce of grime and dust out of your house.

I used to work for Dyson and the technology and consumer support they provide for their product is mind boggling.

Bought a Dyson a few weeks back. Set us back a fair bit, but nowhere near $4K. More like about $900. Just about sucks the carpet off the floor too. Wife reckons she can't believe it took so long to buy one. She loves it.
