Story goes that the drugs story was initiated between KJ and a fellow member of the S Times reporting team and intended as payback for KJ being sacked. The one thing he didn't mention to t is that he had a confidentiality clause that prevented him from backing up his allegations. The whole basis of the attack was a telecon between KJ and a senior police officer. The police have said it never happened and KJ isn't breaking his confidentiality contract. So maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't. Either way it can only be seen as speculation at best and antagonism by KJ at worst.
The S Times has been inundated with letters criticising their reporting. They held an enquiry in the week and KJ has been released from his contract with them.

KJ sacked again.

I had heard that KJ was sacked from the ST's early on in the week, but not the reason for it.

Where did you hear this?

I could tell you............but then I'd have to kill you :D

anyhow......I can't say because of a confidentiality agreement ;)

but seriously, I can't give names out or it could cause them a lot of hassle.

Can we then take this as an admission that indeed the police are aware of west coast players using/involved in drugs, it's just that Ken isn't allowed to comment on the aforesaid telephone conversation?

Seems thats the gist of what you are alluding to - is that correct?

If so, intersting that a confidentiality agreement excludes the discussion of alleged illegal activity of the playing group ... very interesting indeed.

Mmmmm, if this is true, it would not surprise me at all. Seems to me KJ has a vendetta against the WC for his sacking.....

A sacking well deserved though

KJ sacked again ? And the season hasn't started yet ! This is what should have happened to him in his first year at the Eagles. When I said exactly that in the the middle of season 2000, I was almost crucified but by a few of my fellow Eagles supporters. "Give the man a chance " - They said ! To which I replied that he should have never been hired in the first place because of his lack of success at Hawthorn and that if this was soccer he would be already out of the club after such dismal performances.

Now if it is true that the "drug" issue started with him than the law of cause and effect seems to have worked this time. As for being " very interesting indeed", I can't help but notice that anything that can potentially harm the Eagles interests is always "very interesting" for some shockers fans.

Actually, i thought he meant that KJ could not backup his statements, and the Sunday Times sacked him because it is increasingly looking likely that what was published is a load of crap.

Could you clarify that Frodo?

Well it 'could' be that a police officer talked to KJ. Then again KJ could have just made it up. And then there is the subject of what was said 'if' a police officer had spoken to him. Could have been disciussing crowd control for all we know.

The only 'fact' we have is that KJ initially alleged to a Slimes reporter some sort of conversation took place, refused to back it up, has gone from the Slimes team and that the Slimes after weeks of huge headlines didn't have a word written about the issue yesterday.

Now all that points to devious work by our former coach (ha!) who IMO damaged the club badly as an employee and seeks to do more damage afterwards.

Thanks for the update Frodo. A very poor effort from KJ. Wonder if the Slimes reporter was one Kim Hackdorn. If so, Hackdorn Out!

it seems that over the last couple of weekends the Sunday Times has had a vendetta against the eagles with regard to the drug taking issue.

a big fu** you to the Sunday Times for refusing to let this story go to rest and a hearty handshake to KJ for putting a bullet in its head by refusing to talk.

I am glad the man has gone. The damage being done to this proud club by KJ makes me wish he never had been given the job in the first place.

They would have been better off with Wiley as coach......

Lets hope this is the last that fool has with any association to the WCE.....
