Apparantly someone rang in to complain that a Port Suppoter from Bay 117 was yelling out for Knights to "get up you ****" when he was being stretchered off

Pretty poor form if true

Should have maybe thought back to how Schulz was treated by the hybrid supporters last year

Unless it was continually repeated and over the top people really need to harden the **** up. It's political correctness gone mad over a throwaway comment by some (probably) drunk guy.

As for the Schulz incident - I heard countless Crowies yelling at him to stop faking it, stop being soft etc but did we cry to the media about it? Give me a break, what's next?

As silly as the comment is, why is this news? Every club has these types of supporters and it happens each and every week. It certainly isn't the worse comment I've heard at a football ground, far from it.

I'll cop whatever punishment the club sees fit to dish out and do my neighbours lawns as they all heard it too.

Could have been the bloke staggering across the road towards Westfield after the game. He was so pissed, he was half a stumble off having to crawl. As it was such a long dusty walk/stagger, he stopped in the middle of the two northern bound lanes, to have a sip from his stubbie. Unfortunately he missed his head entirely and spilled it all over himself. So he solved his problem by abusing all the people around him

Went to Hawks vs Blues at the G a week or two after Lance Picioane was sent to Mars by Jess Sinclair(?).

This drunk Carlton supporter standing by himself was yelling "where's Picioane? He's in the hostible! [sic]" 3 or 4 times until the bluecoats moved in to tell him to tone it down.

It's unsavoury but out of tens of thousands of people you're bound to get a few dickheads.

I know the media relies on sensational stuff etc but to put that sort of allegation to air is totally unacceptable. Anyone can say anything without any corroboration, checking of 'facts' or it could simply be a total lie.

The happiest drunk guy I ever saw was atually being punched and kicked outside the ground at the 96 GF. A few of the quality Centrals lowlifes were taking some frustrations out on him before stealing a car to get home, and he was loving every minute of it as he sung the club song and told them how Port did not lose grand finals to them...'Kick me, punch me, I dont care, we just won the Grand Final'. A few of us managed to rescue him, even though he seemed to be enjoying himself....

Edit: Dont think he spilt a drop of his tinnie either...

While I'm inclined to agree that this is an typical overreaction - if the comment was racial in nature the shit quite rightly would be hitting the fan

Just wait until a player comes out and lifts up his shirt after a win and says look at me I'm gay and proud and watch the AFL really clamp down on homophobic (whether intentional or not) comments
