Like mentioned in the thread before with the Melbourne away strip they have blue shorts instead of white and the same with West Coast correct me if I'm wrong about that one.

Also this really doesnt need to be in the patch but possibly DLC in the future. Adding the guernseys that have featured this year but arent in the game.. eg Adelaide 20 year guernsey, Collingwood guernsey used against North, West Coast yellow peril.

Yeah, the opposition kicked it out after a behind and despite no-one touching it, I didn't get a free. Just a rule error.

Actually this one is called an error. A glitch is more something wrong with the game causing it to break in some way/shape/form. Not a spelling error.

Meh. Semantics is boring. Whether it's a glitch/error/bug/stuff-up/whatever, my point still stands.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue and it's only a minor one but when I try and compare trophies on Psn, the afl ones don't show up. If I look at them in the game menu they are there but in the comparison one they're not. As I said, it's not a huge deal, just wondered if anyone else noticed this??
I tried syncing but it made no difference, even when I looked at my player card, it shows the most recent trophies as NBA ones, and I got at least a dozen Afl ones tonight..
 
Game needs Stats that you can view at anytime not just top 3.
Glitches online are annoying.
Rioli cant run away from anyone..
Game needs speed, Players need extra speed and the game play needs to be sped up a little.
Where is the Instant Replay option in the menu..? kicked some awesome goals , cant view them again if they arent replayed during the game or in the highlights package.

Game needs a patch and an update for these things overlooked , it seems as though it was rushed when we all know it wasnt.
 
Ok first off I'd like to say that the game is awesome to play, however there are some annoying issues.

1.) When playing online over XBOX Live you cannot pause the game. When one player or both players pause the game, the match still continues in the background.

2.) There is no breaks between quarters when playing online, it just jumps straight into the next quarter. I wouldn't mind some time to make a quick change or two at each break and check some quick stats. Really hope this one gets fixed.

3.) Not sure if this is a glitch or anything but I can't play with 2 other players at the same time over XBOX Live. For example I wanted my cousin and I to be on one team vs. my other cousin and a mate (no local multiplayer, everyone online) but it's like it can only accept 2 xbox live connections at once so im not sure if this a limitation of the game or an actual issue??
 
After playing many games offline and online, I have discovered some issues that would greatly improve the game. Apart from these things I find the game to be great, and should the changes be made, it would definitely be an A grade game. I have no idea if any of these changes can be made with a patch, but highlighting them can't hurt.
  1. The sprint speed: (no need to elaborate)
  2. Player lock-on to the ball: You have to run over the top of the ball in order to pick it up. While this is realistic, it makes setting up a play hard. So often I'll think I am close enough to have the ball, and begin to aim a handball, yet I haven't got the ball. Should be more like FIFA whereby if you're within a few metres, your player will automatically lock on to the ball no matter what direction you hold on the analog stick (you can also cancel a lock-on). This way you can look ahead for a kick/handball/turn, which will help reduce soem congestion issues.
  3. Having more then one human (a "guest profile") on a team in ranked matches: I just played a game (Xbox) where the other team completely dominated me, just because there were two humans. They could link so many easy plays that is impossible by yourself. If I go for the tackle, he passes to his mate, and if I leave him he runs the field. The AI sometimes tackled, but not effectively or consistently. Also, it was literally impossible to hit out to advantage. Their ruckman would punch, meaning I would have to punch to beat him (unless I had Sandilands). But the rover would cover the only area where my punch would advantage myself. Meaning no matter who won the ruck contest, they got the ball. If having multiple humans in a ranked match is a desired feature for BigAnt, at least tell the other team how many there are at the Team Select screen, so you can quit before the game starts if you don't believe you have a chance.
  4. Making changes before every online game: I have made several changes to my team for season mode, and there's simply not enough time to do it in the 60 second time limit before every match. There should be an option in settings/Footy Factory where you can edit a team's lineup for all game modes (or at least online), so that you don't have to make changes before every game (much like how it works for season mode).

This is to stop people from exploiting the leaderboards. People could easily get a mate who doesn't care about rankings, and get tonnes of big wins against them. They'd be the top player in no time.

In my case,I don't think it was a friend - rather a guest profile. With XBOX Live, some games allow you to have two players playing online on the one console, with only one paid subscription :)eek: I know, M$ not taking money??)

So, in games such as Halo and Black Ops, you can sign in with a guest profile who is playing on the same console. It would seem this has occurred in that match, as there is no other explanation as to how two players can sprint down the field together almost every time they use the ball. Aswell as the aforementioned ruck issues.

Wouldn't mind this. Although I don't make too many changes to the Tiges line up (and I can do it in under 60 seconds). It'd be good not to HAVE to do it every time, just be able to set a default 22 outside of the online mode and have that the one that I take into each match.

Would help with my selections of other teams too as that stuff would see my skim through the 22 way too fast and not get it done within 60 seconds.

Just played one like this myself, i was thinking to myself how the hell is that rover running forward of the play every ruck contest but then realised :eek: still managed to win with 5 sec to go (thanks Roo)

The game needs more info all round when online.

I really enjoyed it last night, sure I noticed a few dodgy things such as if you try and angle your kick after an out of bounds on the full you kick it out of bounds and its a throw in and also the no 50 metre penalty after taking a mark and being pole axed into the turf, but who gives a shit. It's a fun game to play and the online gaming is not too bad either.

I like it :cool:

just played a cheater or the game was bugged, the ball teleported to his players when he kicked it and i couldn't tackle him.. players just ran through him so he just ran to the goals and scored a goal but he quit straight after.. so im leaning towards it was bugged

Well if you can't invite friends to ranked matches, then why don't you get a win for a quit?

Why don't I get a win?

We don't award a win by default when someone ragequits on you, as otherwise it is possible to game the leaderboard: using two accounts, one can give themselves as many wins as they want by simply having the other account constantly quit mid-match.

How is it possible to do this with two accounts if you can't invite for ranked matches? Am I missing something?

I haven't noticed any bugs so far, cept for a few graphics issues.

E.G. the glaringly obvious cheersquad bug, where those big mop things are through the fence every time heh.

Onya Ross for looking to get that patch out.

I've gotten the free at least 4 times from this. Perhaps your opponent played on first but it's fine for me. Love the cheap frees.
Ochre correctly pointed out that a ruckman knocking it out of bounds on the full from a throw in isn't being awarded but I like this. Helps me gain a metre or 2 without being penalised.

Happening to everyone on PS3. Not sure how 360 works. Cannot compare trophies which removes a bit of fun. I wonder what's stopping this from showing as it seems rather odd. My AFL trophy graphics are showing in my player card though. Just not in the compare trophy list.

*Issue & my only dislike so far as the game hasn't froze on me yet, the team select is so bad I don't bother changing my team or manually interchanging players. Lay it out like the pre game team lists with unused players in a list down the bottom. AFL 2007 had this down pat, I guess with the re build you chose to be different.. You chose wrong. It's to cramped in that small list. The rest of the menu system looks very smooth so a nice player selection screen would have fit right in.

*Need more effective sprint. It does work but FAST players are not significantly faster. I'd rather it run out quickly but be effective for a quick burst allowing disposal.

*Gamer names/tags need to be somewhere online in game. Above heads or on screen would be great but they somehow need to be included.

*Stats??? @ end game (not just top 3)- menu players season stats are limited, where is hitouts leaderboard etc? Can only view Kicks, handballs, goals, tackles, marks.
Possesions TOTAL, hitouts & even behinds should be there.

Bigant are working on the freeze issue so I haven't listed it. it's safe to say that is the main reason for the patch.
Things suggested in this thread, whether urgent or not will be noted by bigant and may take til the next game to be included if they see it needs a fix.(cough/ player selection / cough)
I'm playing using End to End camera as the need to see down ground for leads is a must. Goal view with square at anytime would be nice.
 
I don't have the PS3 version just yet (hasn't arrived), but I decided to Compare Trophies to see exactly what the final set of trophies were...and at least in the US, the game isn't even showing up to see the trophies. I **think** I can see the trophies of the couple of people on BF I'm friends with on PS3, but when it gives me the rundown of their played games and my own, AFL Live isn't showing up.

Since we in the US have a different PS Store among other things, I didn't know if this was standard or an error.
 
I think the compare trophies might be a Sony issue, perhaps with the game being out before it was meant to be, we are checking into it.
 
Can confirm that last night Judd was number 1 in my game. I don't really give a shit though.

The big thng for me, which my mates worked out and started exploiting....

Once mark protection is off, and you can give away 50 mtr penalties, in a multiplayer game you can run over your own mark while your teammate is having a shot for goal and you get the 50 mtr penalty. Not a huge issue because most of the time I wont care what happens in multiplayer, but it is a bug.

Other than that, ****en awesome job Ross. :thumbsu:

You would still be able to do it. You just can't invite each other to the match. You would have to do it by both accounts searching for a game and getting each other.
