Is he worth a play? Perhaps a trade for Wellingham? Reckon we could give up Wellers and and get Stevens and a pick?

I love Wellers, not trying to push him out the door. Just wondering if this might happen and is this kid any good?

I've got mates in WA, he doesn't even dominate at WAFL level, which means if he came to Collingwood that's where he'd be spending all his time, in the VFL.

If we could get him for absolutely nothing in the internal draft, yeah I'd take him for depth, but no way should we give anything away for him.

That is True and his Price would be Super Low but I have seen players in our VFL Side Struggle but still play well at AFL Level when they go up

Yes i would think about moving him for wellingham if they gave us a 1st round pic with him.

Not as big as Kennedy but I have a similar thought pattern. With Ball and Swan close to retirement we need some pure inside talent. And Stevens fits this. Mind you i'm basing this on his junior footage which I really rated and his subsequent state league stats. So maybe i'm off the mark?

Sad to say but I do think that Wellers probably wants out and I have absolutely no doubt that a WA side is very high on his preferred destinations list. I know there is no direct evidence but there was a post on here a while back by a poster with the nick of Dorra who sounded suspiciously like a certain currently our of contract Collingwood midfielder. He was enquiring about whether people thought Wellingham might be picked up at some time by either WCE or Freo. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threa...rmegaultrathread.866988/page-12#post-22099263 It was interesting to note that he seemed to have fairly intimate knowledge of sharrod's past team mates and you couldn't help noticing what comes out when you spell his nick backwards. Anyway, regardless of whether there is any synergy between Dorra and Sharrod, you would imagine that since he is one of the last to sign there may be more to the speculation than some might hope and a direct swap with WCE, possibly including draft picks is a distinct possibility.
