... yes he has the abiity to win a game off his own boot, but we havnt seen it for years now.. he's still getting picked on what he could do but he never delivers... I was at the SCG on sunday and he was horrible.. and yes i know hes our 2nd ruck option but surely we can find someone better he had 6 hitouts 0% to advantage against the swans.. im sure someone else can fill that spot..

I think the thing that is saving him is the fact both Stanley and Blake are injured. Who will be second ruck? What happens if McEvoy gets injured in the first quarter? Because of these fears he will still get picked next week. If Koschitzke was not a number two draft pick, would he still be on the current list? Most likely not. Watters will most likely keep playing him, similar to Lyon, because he provides 'structure'.

I think he played better when both those guys were in the side, meaning he didn't have to ruck, and spent his time in the 50...mostly deep

That's an easy out. He did very little before the Hawks game and has done very little since. We've been getting over 100 points pretty much every week the past 9 weeks and he still can't even average one goal per game. I'm sick of seeing players in there for "structure" or to "play a role". No more passengers please.

Get well soon Stanley.

He was almost BOG against Essendon.

Like or hate him, he is one of the very few left in the squad that make opponents quake in their boots.

I just hope he stops taking out team mates in contested marking situations like he did with Roo against Sydney on the weekend.

Please harness that aggression and direct to the opposition Kozi.

He'll never stop his friendly fire, been doing it his whole career. His awareness is awful

Surely you're not going to argue that Roo is better suited to go the pack mark?

Leave it to Kosi please Nick, and take leading marks at CHF.

Roo is suited to the lead and lace out delivery. Kozi is suited to the towering pack mark and rumble.

I agree, so I don't understand Kosi gets the blame for crashing a pack inside 50?

He is just continuing to do what is asked, I'm not sure Roo should of been there this time.

But with one ruck (Macca) both should be versatile enough to assist when need be. No?

That footage of him years ago falling into David Schwartz's arms on channel seven was just terrible. Image if that happened these days with all the talk about concussions etc. They wouldn't let him play. I remember a period he had years ago where I think he got three BOG's in a row playing in the ruck. Overall though probably disappointing over his career.

It is sad.

Club admitted last year that he has had regular visits to neurosurgeons ever since.

Well that's it robstewart23.

A lot of people forget what Kozi has been through for the club.

I have always loved his style of play. He had a terrible game against North just recently where he repeatedly chucked up his guts and came out the next week and smashed the Essendon backline with grit and focus. A very enigmatic player who I'm sure from my own perspective always tries to give his all. He couldn't be a dirty player if you consider the amount of his own teammates he has taken out over the years. Eyes for the ball (tick), spatial awareness (below-par). Can't doubt his character though. I just wish he collided with more opponents. :thumbsu:

I'm sure Watters is bemoaning the lack of rucks because that's the only thing keeping Koschitzke in the starting side.

Wouldn't at all be surprised if what we're seeing now is the result of poor injury/training management back in the '04-6 days. One year we somehow managed to stay competitive despite an extreme amount of soft-tissue problems, on par with Essendon this season.

About time someone voices the converse. It always seems to be Kosi's fault for getting into Rooeys way in marking attempts, but often time Kosi leads it is in fact Rooey that cuts in front of him, drifting to the space the kick was geared towards, as his athleticism as much as it is a benefit is also a hindrance to other forwards in the area. This has been our primary problem going forward, the ball would constantly be kicked to the location of "other" forwards, Rooey would get in front and there'd be a clash, yet all the blame is leveled on Kosi?

We almost need to minimise pagans paddock, optimum scenario would have Kosi in the square to 25m, Rooey & Wilkes/Stanley working the flanks & 50 with the smalls at their feet. Instead you have 2 talls getting in each others way occasionally, the smalls being the lead up and a mesh of Hawthorn (Roughie & Buddy) mixed with Carlton (Eddie, Gartlett) all vying for the same thing which then causes headaches.

I like what you say StFly. AFL is a team sport after all.

Ego's are for tennis and golf!

Can Roo crumb from marking contest spillages? If he can't, then if not why not?
Aussie Rules is a team sport. Or is Roo just playing for his own marketing long lead uncontested $39.95 memorabilia show-reel 5 years from now?

Come on enough of the bullshit Saints. Personalities are making you predictable. ;)

Teamwork.

Don't want to make the long drive to Seaford to train and work together?

That's why St.Kilda lost to Sydney last week.

Lack of:
1) teamwork
2) practice (shithouse kicking for goal except for the best small-forward in the AFL for the last decade or two)

Of course number 2) could be alleviated in the future by St.Kilda employing Milney as a goal-kicking specialist when he retires. St.Kilda should take-out/share a patent with the man, his know-how and keep it in-house for the future of the club. Elocution is irrelevant, just kick the damn thing straight!

Kosi has always been better running with the flight of the ball rather than leading towards it.

As ive said before, he pretty much plays better with 3 talls in forward line and why Wilkes should be playing. It takes pressure off Kosi more then Riewoldt.
