Yeah, posted it on the draft thread since we'd be drafting him. ;) Ashcroft said it more as a passing comment. Honestly didn't sound interested at all. They'll probably have a standard chat about it, but not actually pick him up.

With Broughton brought on as well as Murphy, Stanley re-signing and other contracts probably in the pipeline, we wouldn't be able to offer Kurt as much as before anyway.
 
You might be right , but he could of knocked it on the head there and then but did'nt , so it looks as though we have gone full circle here.
 
Oh man...if we got him for 600k I guess he'd be better than Brennan...but he's just got so much baggage now it's surely too hard.
I guess it's professional sport and we should be grateful it hasn't got to the stage of MLB where you walk in on Wednesday and say "Pack you bags Josh, you're training with Freo tomorrow"

OMG what have AFC, Velocity Sport & Tippett done!

It is hard to believe in the transparent nature of AFL that anyone would even consider playing "russian roulette" with the system.

The penalty will be interesting for all those involved.

Remember Carlton's penalty for being naughty!!!!!!

Velocity sports are crooks, I know one of their co owners and he's dodgy as. Hope they get brought down for this, most of their client base are in afl also :)

id be surprised if he goes thru to the preseason draft.. plus there is no real common sense when it comes to the drafting and trading of players.. ive seen some stupid shit happen. hickey trade is one of the more recent ones
 
Okay so if Tippett is allowed to play next year there are now only two ways he can get to the Suns. Either he nominates for the national draft and the Suns pick him up at pick 13 or he goes through the PSD and the Suns pick him up at pick 2. Not that I think he will end up at the Suns anymore but I guess it is still possible. Suns probably have something like 550k left in the bank? With the way things have played out it is probably still in the ball park of what Kurt was going to get at Sydney in his first year.

Was anyone listening to Kurt's manager Blucher in week 1 of trade radio when he said Kurt knows he is either going to get traded to Sydney or go to the Gold Coast through the draft. Obviously things have dramatically changed since then but it sounds like they had a fall back plan of the Suns. I wonder if it is still plan B?
