Son of a "deflated" businessman who captained Richmond in the early 80's. His old man spent some time at South Freo and Claremont.

If he is good enough, wants to go to Richmond ....... sick boy indeed.

Like most WAFL players of the 70s/80s, Bruce played about 140 games for South/Claremont (and given that Claremont is Wiggles zone.. not sure how it would work if he played 100 games each for South and Claremont... would both WA teams have rights, or neither?) before and after his stint with Richmond. So, as the qualification for WAFL is 150, no Kym is not eligible for Freo as a Father/Son pick. Very few of the well known VFL players from WA played 150 games in the WAFL, unless they played for a couple of seasons after returning from the east.
TI Jnr #2 is probably our next Father/Son hopeful... and I think that's still a few years away.

Bruce "have I got a deal for you" Monteath was a very good, hard at it player. if his son (think that might be plural) is half as good he'll be a good pickup for somebody.

Whose TI jnr your eminence?

Have thought the same thing myself DJ. Still, different coach, different admin, the certainty of knowing which club he'll play with (if he's that good), the chance to stay in WA... hopefully he can be persuaded.

TI?

Thrusday islander?

still none the wiser.

Clem was a tragedy, let's hope his brother is a better prospect. The old man was a truly great player - even if he did play for Sowfs.

The common held belief re TI was that it referred to the size of his member ie., ten inches. Any long standing South Fremantle supporter will tell you that.

Re Kym Monteath, he is at best an average young player who would have to make the State 18s and perform well in the championships to gain the interest of recruiters.

Actually, would be a great pick up for freo.....then they could 2 big names at the club, the other being peake

What's the point of having them at the Club if they can't play?
The chances of Peake making it are remote at best.

That's my point Yakuza......love it when freo goes for the "name" rather than football ability. Bit like collingwood really.

Does he play for East Fremantle? If he does I think I have seen him. He is kind of a smallish forward type.
