But even aside from that, Lachlen seems the logical choice, a tall strong CHB/CHF who is a great mark and and a super athlete.
Gibbs - Essendon
Gumbleton - too Josh Kennedy like and we have too many forwards as it is, (however i do agree with the "best available" policy - so he'd also be an option).
Hansen - Carlton
Again, it all comes down to Essendon and who they take.
Lance said:It appears that Hansen & Gumbleton are of equal ability, BUT who is the quicker (pacier) of the two? Remember, this modern ganme is getter quicker each year, and this aspect should be taken into consideration by our recruiting dept?

Brad Pearce said:We should take houli or collard at some stage i reckon, that's if we get the chance
Lance said:Funky, you're assuming Essendon will come last? What if they start winning a few games and we don't, and hence we collect the wooden spoon again? What do we do if we are in the position to have the first pick? Do we take a midfielder or a tall? Gibbs or Hansen? With the game quickening up over the last few years, it's important to draft good QUICK players, ie athletic types, players that can run fast AND are QUICK!!!
Who are the athletic quick players from the championships?
Essendon have no chance against Brisbane with Michael, Roe, Brennan, Bradshaw and possibly Brown good enough to beat Essendon's key position players. They also have Black, Voss, Power and Aker which is more than enough to cover Stanton, Johnson and Watson's contributions in the midfield.jj1978 said:Well looking at the fixture the only wins I think we can get are from our games against Essendon and Hawthorn...
Whereas Essendon has a chance against Carlton/Hawthorn/Brisbane
So for us to not get the wooden-spoon we'll have to beat essendon in 3 weeks time! If we dont......
