My eldest came home from school the other day and asked me to create a rd 22 home and away ladder based on how I WANTED the teams to finish.
I found it difficult to create such as list as I tended to view teams in either a positive, neutral or negative way. Below is how I separated the teams and I would like to know from other posters their views. I am particularly interested to know whether the anti-Freo rhetoric is real or put on.

West Coast
Carlton
Geelong
North Melbourne - All positive
Richmond
Brisbane
Adelaide
Western Bulldogs

Melbourne
Hawthorn
Fremantle - All neutral
Port

St Kilda
Collingwood
Essendon - All negative
Sydney

Despite all the qulaity games between the 2 teams over the last 3-4 years, I cant help but want the Swans to come stone motherless

dont ask me to explain why..a gut reaction.
the swans annoy me,as theyre always around us in cycles etc ..cant seem to shake them..the pies annoy me as their mission seems to be to give all teams a hard time on the way to the grand final, always in the top 8 it seems, always the bridesmaid, but never the bride.
essendon..well, thats obvious, theyre the enemy!
fremantle..nup, draws a blank, nothing...(my anti freo rhetoric is as real or put on as theirs is!?)

I used to not mind them until it seemed that they would approach every game with the main goal of smashing the shit out of our players. Never ever forgiven them for the spear tackle on Kerr. They don't do it as much these days but the hate lingers.

That's my reason for disliking them anyway.

West Coast
Melbourne (had a soft spot since 2000 grand final)
Western Bulldogs (good underdog club, great to watch)
Geelong (good, honest club. admirable)
Richmond (harmless underdogs)
North Melbourne (good honest club)
Adelaide (interstate, remind me of SA west coast)
Sydney (interstate club. used to like them more, that was before the GFs)

Hawthorn (good footy club, recent arrogance though has seen them slip)
Collingwood (apart from all the usual we hear, they are great to watch)
Essendon (dont mind them when they crap, hate them when playing good)
St Kilda (living in melb for a year now ive noticed how shit supporters are)
Port Adelaide (between choco and the sly tactics, just hate them)
Brisbane (mate is so against west coast and goes for them. pure hate)
Fremantle (no comment)
Carlton (corrupt. judd)

West Coast
Essendon - rest of the family goes for them
Sydney - respect, good games and reminder of the glory days
Adelaide - well run club, always very competitive
Brisbane - love Black and Brown
St Kilda - ok
North Melbourne - ok
Melboune - ok

Geelong - ok
Port Adelaide - ok
Footscray - ok
Richmond - becoming embarrassing
Hawthorn - Arrogant club
Collingwood - hold the league to ransom regularly
Fremantle - angry little people
Carlton - dishonourable cheats

Just hate Freo, Sydney, Collingwood and Essendon. The rest all just look like crash test dummies to me.

I used to not mind them until it seemed that they would approach every game with the main goal of smashing the shit out of our players. Never ever forgiven them for the spear tackle on Kerr. They don't do it as much these days but the hate lingers.

I hope you all don't feel this way.
West Coast is my second team and was my first in the AFL prior to us getting the AFL.
Goes back to the days of David HYNES, Shane BOND and Brayden LYLE etc plus loved the fact a non-vic team was kicking arse.
I think the general consensus amongst Port supporters is that the tingles, Collingwood, Carlton and Freo would be the least adored.

1) West Coast
2) Brisbane
3) Sydney
4) Adelaide
5) Port Adelaide
6) Geelong
7) St Kilda
8) North

9) Bulldogs
10) Hawthorn
11) Richmond
12) Essendon
13) Melbourne
14) Carlton
15) Collingwood
16) Fremantle

that was pretty hard...apart from WC #1 and Freo last.

I hope you all don't feel this way.

Hate is such a strong word, but I don't like them. Tredrea & the Cornes boys always seem to walk around with such a swagger, it just p's me off. Brogan as well, he's all huff & puff.
But I like the 'new' brigade - Cassisi is a champ, and I'm a big fan of Salopek for some reason...

But anyway:

1. WCE
2. St. Kilda (seeing them come second again would be funny....)
3. Adelaide (once again, close but no cigar)
4. Richmond (just for kicks)
5. Melbourne (as per Richmond)
6. Nth Melbourne (I'm a fan of Drew Petrie)
7. Hawthorn (meh...)
8. Brisbane (also meh... I'm over the whole Fev thing - they're only this high because I'm a huge Simon Black fan, the others I don't like)
9. Freo (teasing their fans)
10. Sydney (Roos gives me the sh1ts for some reason - i'm probably the only one...)
11. Port (see above, average...)
12. Western Bulldogs (Hall & Aker? lame...)
13. Carlton (on the way down)
14. Essendon (used to really hate them, not so much now, but still....)
15. Collingwood (end of the line for Mick)
16. Geelong (teehee.....)
