and done the predictions.

I've given us 1-1 with collingwood, 1-1 with Adel (pessimistic) and losses to north and the Ds in Melb, which should be winnable.

My Predicted Ladder after Rd 22 Pos Team Pl W L

1 Bris Lions 22 17 5
2 Collingwood 22 17 5
3 Sydney 22 17 5
4 Adelaide 22 15 7

Obviously, I haven't rated the Doggies too highly. But who are they going to beat?

Not much thought has gone into this mate. Carlton wont win 8 games (6 max), StKilda will win more than 6 games and the Bulldogs will win more than 1.

I thought I considered the Roos at top 8 chance.
Sorry guys. I didn't realise i was on the port board.

Being only slightlly less wishy-washy than Charlie Brown, I wouldn't want to commit myself too far. I'll only say Port and Adelaide's recruiting hasn't impressed me, both will be lower than 2003. Adelaide may not even make the 8. The Bullies will finish above 10, they could even make the 8. Carlton will win more than last season but still only a maximum 8. Hawthorn and Essendon will both fill lower spots in the 8. Brisbane will be top after the minor round and unless Port get over their last few years will be top after the major round. Collingwood won't challenge Brisbane, even if they make the GF.

And sure bet for the year, Richmond will please their hordes of needleheads by winning 6 of their first 7 games and will then proceed to win 5 of the remaining 15 and miss the eight by a gnat's AGAIN.

Off the top of my head, I would have agreed with you. But when you go through it round by round, you've got to find 8 winners and 8 losers each week. I did mine without glancing at the progressive W + L - admittedly, based pretty much on 03 form, but history oft repeats. Where's your tally?

Our losses - split the games against Adelaide and Collingwood. Lose to Brisbane at the gabba and West Coast at Subi. The key game for me next season in the H & A for how we are going to go is Round 4 vs. Melbourne at the MCG. The game the last two or three years where we play our absolute worst. If we can get a win there I'll feel more confident.

Interested to note that the majority have rated Hawthorn quite highly. Would like to hear your grounds for such a high rating

Port is a certainty for top four, its the finals they have to improve on. Francou coming back will bolster the midfield considerably, along with a fit dew.

As an outsider, i still rate the Port Adelaide year (apart from the finals of course) as one of the best given the amount of injuries they had. I strongly believe that if any other club in the AFL had that injury list they would not have been even close to winning 18 for the year. How the team will turn it around in the finals, I dont know. Last chance for Williams

Port to finish top at the end of the minor round, and WIN first final.
Crows to finish out of top eight.
Carlton to finish in top eight.
Sydney to stay in top four.
Bulldogs to do nothing at all.
Freo to stay the same.
West Coast to drop down a bit.
Collingwood not to make another GF.
Brisbane not to win another premiership.

the rest..don't care lol

And Eddie to die a horrible death somewhere..:)
my predications..

Insanity I suspect

Going through the games, I discovered I'd given Hawthorn 14 wins. More ignorance than insanity on my part, no doubt, but looking over the draw, Hawthorn's is particularly generous -- they seem to play a lot of potential easybeats twice, and their travel doesn't look too arduous.

Port, Brisbane, Sydney and Freo
Hawthorn, Essendon, St Kilda, Collingwood
WC, Carlton, Adelaide, Geelong
Richmond, WB, Melbourne, Kangaroos

Yeh, definitely wack, but when you work it out round-by-round....

If you're serious, you're a moron, he is good for the game and any team in the AFL would love Eddie as its president

my ladder predictions

1.Brisbane (they haven't done it the past three seasons, the 10% salary cap should get them over the line)
2.Port
3.Collingwood
4.Hawthorn
5.Crows
6.Freo
7.West Coast
8.Sydney
------------------
9. Saints

(forget the rest)

Ah, yes, I WAS serious. And no, not every team in the AFL would like Eddie as a president..or a boot studder or the janitor...or anything esle for that matter. He is an arrogant, big headed blight on AFL football, that will hopefully, pack up his ruck sack and sod off back to Broadmeadows as soon as possible. His arrogance and lack of professionalism as Collingwood's President, is matched only by his role as a Channel Nine commentator, surely the most biased ever to commentate football in this country.

The massive conflict of interest he has is seen by everyone except Eddie, and his refusal to adheed to any directive laid down by the AFL is both immature, and smacks of an upmost disrespect for football in Australia. With him it's one rule for Collingwood, one for everyone else. He thinks he's bigger than the game itself..he isn't. Only his head is. Pity there's nothing in it to start with.

But above all else, he's a complete ****...that alone merits his sad demise in a nasty combine harvester accident....MORON.

There are supporters and then there are band wagon supporters, you fit into the second category and I highly doubt anyone gives a toss about your opinion.

A real supporter would want the ultimate prize!

I'm not even a collingwood supporter, (hawthorn in fact) yet i think you are being foolish. Collingwood was down and out before Eddie came to the rescue for them. Dont be jealous of his success, this what the Collingwood football club wants the most. To be hated etc etc. Them versus Us mentality does wonders psychologically.

Sure, he has problems with the AFL however the fact of the matter is, they have one of the biggest supporter basis in Australia, and the competition would be shabby without them. We need that team to hate, its good for the game.

As for his commentary, i do agree that he shouldn't commentate Collingwood matches. Just for the sake of the opposition supporters. For example, if collingwood is getting flogged on friday night footy, you couldn't possibly take his ranting and raving about the other side seriously. I believe he will reconsider his position on this issue one day. He's a smart man

Not fussed with this really.
Carlton in 15th with another priority draft pick.
Would give us picks 2, 4, 20, 36, 48 as a minimum.
Further aggressive trading would have us skyrocketing.

That said, the Blues will win more than 25% of their games. I expect still bottom 4, but vast improvement.

Port will still win the minor premiership, far too dominant and don't drop too many silly games.

Look for Adam Kingsley to return to top form. Whether as a midfielder or flanker, it won't matter.
Cannot understand why Port faithful don't rate him - I guess he is Victorian.
