How are the Bulls going?

Well I guess they've pretty much established the next Eastern conference dynasty for 5 years. Other than that, not much.

Congratulations to them, I'll make a prediction now that they will be ****, like some said Kobe was and they will be chokers like some said Shaq was

Never really expected them to win 4 in a row, it would have been an amazing performance to do it though

Ahhhhhhhhh.....my big sigh of relief. Thankyou Tim Duncan, Thankyou San Antonio Spurs.

The ending was beautiful to watch as Fisher and Kobe openly cried :D :D :D :D :D

Has anyone seen Kobe Bryant by the way?? Biggest game of the year and he went walkabouts. Oh and is their any doubt now as to who the MVP is this season, looks to me like they got it right!

Big cleanout time in LA. Horry is gone after his fantastic 0-18 3pt shooting in the series :D Fox may stay, as will Fisher probably. George should go, Medvedenko should go, Madsen, Pargo, Walker...all gone.

I think it would be better to have a tilt at jermaine oneal for a long term contract and also try and get Payton for a 2-3 year contract.Payton could play both guard positions better than Kidd . Saying that I think Payton will go to the Lakers

And how do you propose they pay for this?

O'Neal will get a max contract, and Payton will want one last massive deal.

The only chance of it happening is if Payton were to take a minimum wage in order to win a ring, can't see it happening though, too big an ego.

Payton will probably have to settle for the MLE of 4.5 million. This is good money given how little money will be thrown around this summer aside from the Big 3 of Duncan, O'Neal and Kidd.

Because Robinson isnt the only player coming out of contract.Steve Smith,Kevin willis, stephen Jackson are too.Its a well known fact that the Spurs have been waiting for this summer for about 2 years Out of them I think only Jackson will be resigned.

The Spurs have stated that they will have enough money to sign 1 big contract to a star and enough for a mid-level type.Im not niave to think Payton wont want big money but the lure of a ring might help.Getting Payton for 1-2 will then leave enough money to resign Parker an Gino in a few years.

Anyway this is just me day-dreaming,anything can happen as i stated above I think Payton will go to the Lakers

You would think Steve Kerr is gone too, and possibly Danny Ferry. I'm expected 'em both to hang up the sneaks and pull out the golf clubs.

Surely the Lakers experience would show you that any team can only afford two max contracts, and a pack of duds.

Also, throw in the fact that the Spurs organisation aren't the type of group to pay a heap of luxury tax, and you have a situation where its TD and one big name, no more.

I dont get how you think Payton would help your team. Im a GP fan but his ego is well documented. He will want lots of money and Parker's starting gig. He cant really play the 2 guard and why would you want him to when you have the already fantastic Jackson/Manu duo?

If the Spurs go after anyone...it should be Jermaine O'Neal, that is the only guy you could get IMO that wouldnt really upset team balance and chemistry. He would simply come in and be a younger David Robinson. Nobody loses minutes because the Admiral is retiring.

GP is one of my favourite players, before this last half of the season I have always thought that the Spurs were lacking the one tough player needed to win the championship.Since we lost Mario Elie we have been known to be soft.Being swept last year typified that image.I think Gary Payton could add another diemension to the Spurs with his hustle,Leadership and defence. He is still one of the best post-up guards in the NBA.Thats why he can swing to the 2 guard spot.I think he would be great for Tony Parkers development.

With Gary Payton you know he will come to play every night.

In saying all that i think in the past month Tim Duncan has started to shed his nice guy image a bit and has become the leader the Spurs have needed since D-Robs old age/injuries starting kicking in.

I agree with your statements about Jermaine O'Neal but I think Elton Brand could be a better pick-up especially with team chemistry. He could be slighty cheaper too, leaving more room for another player.

SUPERMARIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn I loved that guy. He is a guy that played on heart. I was shattered when he moved to the Suns. Although he was only with us for a short while, he remains one of my favourite Spurs of all time and I will never forget his contribution to San Antonio.
