i prefer to see lance play FWD the majority of the time. don't mind him pinch hitting down back but teams can really exploit him down back

the problem is we don't have many viable options

hartlett and bower have been injured and are raw
setanta is learning the game
saddington hasn't worked this season, but still worth a punt

if we didn't have lance down back we may have copped a few more floggings, but if we had him FWD we may have snuk over the line in a couple of the close games

this just highlights how important it is to get a good FB or CHB in the PSD.

I agree, we shouldn't shock them out of their dreams where Lance is a world beating CHF/CHB and a leader who can beat everyone like SOS or Southby. ;) :)

I think he could be the difference for the Bulldogs or WCE in winning a flag and they do need another decent KPP. He would free up Hunter at the WCE to float forward or at least do a lot of damage playing on the opposition's third tall forward.

He would be useful at the Dogs and could help Grant, West, Johnson and Smith win that elusive flag before it's too late. Then again he'd probably do his knee once he walked through the door! :D :(

His past month hasn't been great and he was hurt badly by the athletic power forwards like Riewoldt, Richo and Croad, even Hansen led him to the ball.

Stevens is more important but some Carlton supporters are questioning his body language and whether he wants out.

On what basis do you rate Stevens as more important?

I for one am not questioning if Stevens wants out or not. I am questioning if he has the willpower to get the best out of himself no matter who he plays for. Unless Stevens connects to his ability consistently he is far better elsewhere imo. Lance on the other hand has shown that he is prepared to work to get the best from what he has been given.
