Not too bad.

Pick 42 and 52..Not much difference.

Solomon a decent addition.

Well now it's supposedly 42 and 47. Not sure though.

Even so, Grover + Solly in the backline? Yes please.

its 42 + 47 for solomon + 52
Correct.

YOu guys got screwed on this one.

Solomon = Dud.

Solomon on SEN saying he was injured last 2 seasons but now 100% and best footy ahead of him.

Saying he is in to win a premiership.

Also saying he suits Subiaco.

And also he is going to play a hard nosed forward role.

Okay this is scary.

2001: Richmond finish 4th, thinking they are going to have a crack at the premiership in the next few seasons, they trade their first pick in a super draft and a small forward (Nick Daffy) for Greg Stafford, a 27 year old star from a middle of the ladder team. We then traded our 3rd round pick for Paul Hudson, an over the hill, injured former solid contributor.

They are left with picks 33, 63, 68.

3 Years later they finish last having not kicked on from 2001 and having not turned over their list.

What has Freo just done? Traded their first pick in a super draft and a small forward and 2 other picks to get a 27 year old "star" and a short stubby hack with injury problems. You guys are screwed :(

Subiaco is suited to fast hard running players.
Is solomon fast or hard running?
Not that i have seen much of solomon, but he seems like he would be suited to slow bash and crash ground.

I think Freo have done well getting solly, i wish him all the best. He has always been a favourite of mine due to the way he plays his footy. he hasnt had a full pre-season for two years and needs no shed a bit of muscle to get back to the demon HBF he was circa 99-2001.

He's be good value pinch hitting in the middle at 188cms and 95kgs he will open up a few packs.

Solly isnt slow, it wasnt that long ago that he was chasing down guys like david King and Jeff farmer etc.

He needs to lose some bulk and become a running player again.

Just reading between the lines that Soloman wont be used in backline or as full time midfielder. What think is that Pavlich and Soloman will be used at centre bounce then go forward. I would think that Soloman would lose 5 kgs and play the role that Cook players. All the coaching staff are saying that we are get smashed in the clearances and need a tall strong midfielder. What the dockers has done is upgrade Cook with Soloman and look to add a strong body at clearances.

Solly will always give 100% to any role he is given, is a flanker but has a certain amount of versatility in that he can be a very good forward-line player to give that extra toughness and pressure, he is a top notch defender and can have effective stints in the middle, but will never be anything more than a part-timer in this role. Kicking is average, but as i said he will give 100% in everything that he does. Commitment will not and has never been the issue, the issue is his knees.

Has been playing at well above his optimal weight recently. Trim him down, and start him HBF/HFF or wing and if his knees hold up he will be a very good player for you guys.

Ahem Richo.

No we just recruited our Richo - tempremental, passionate CHF who can kick a goal from the boundary and then miss a set shot ...win a game off his boot.

We have Pav who is cold and calculating ....you had Daffy ;)

Richmond got the shock of their lives by not finishing ninth, and traded their way back to that position on the ladder.
