If you have a read of the injuries thread, his original post in this thread was taking the piss. Hence the talk of trolling.

Trolling?

Isn't that what people say they were doing when they are made to look like an idiot?

Wouldn't know to be honest. I've never been proven wrong in my life. Even when I argue with myself I'm right.

He is only 22? For some reason I thought he was older. Probably because of all the "mature age recruit" talk when he was first drafted.

Great signing and terrific player to have at your club for next 10 years. :thumbsu:

Did I ruin the game? Damnit :( I hate when I think I'm pointing out something helpful and spoil it for everyone...

Micky B is untouchable. Throw in a pinch of anti coach tin foil hattery, and this shit could have gone nuclear.

:D

Fun while it lasted :D

Great news on the signing btw. The simple fact that contract talks were held off untill our medicos gave it the all clear, tells me we know what we're doing, and that Micky B will be good to go. Top stuff.

Pavlich, Sandilands, Mundy and Barlow are now all signed up until 2014. That's 4 of our top 5. Awesome.

What great news, all for it of course as any Freo fan would be and certainly points to the notion that they (the club overall) are very confident of a full recovery.

Now I'm going to play devils advocate. Freo signed a new deal because, until the AFLPA get their way in the current round of EBA, contracts can still be written with 'performance clauses'. In short, though given the all clear at this stage, just to cover if things do go sour over the next year or so, the club agreed to extend the contract but make it more 'performance driven' i.e. pay linked to games you will actually play. It's not uncommon for players who are injury prone or have fitness issues to do this ....

Having said that, I don't think that is the case. A club wouldn't commit that long term to a player they're not sure about, but just a thought anyway.

I thought we had a current cotracts thread somewhere being updated by Imerial Purple, they updated it recently when we had the 5 signings announcement.

We do; I linked to it in my above post. There is a lot of other discussion in the thread though so depending on what is the hot topic (contracts, drafting, delistings etc) it can get pushed off the most recent page.
