It's true, but doctor's were amazed at how quickly Monfries recovered, took him next to no time. I'm currently recovering from shoulder surgery, and it's not going as quickly as I would have liked, but I don't think it's due to lack of attitude.

You'd have a much better idea of Laycock's attitude than me, but I wouldn't use the recovery times as a reason.

Cartledge had a shoulder op as well, he was up and running too.

But I won't drag this into a big debate. I just think there are some things that Jason can do a lot better if he is going to turn his talent into results.

Whirl probably hit the nail on the head, if Jason can take something from Jobe Watson, we are going to have a gun player on our hands.

Courtney Johns has been playing good footy in the preseason had a couple of games where he kicked two or three.. hurt his shoulder in the same game hirdy hurt his calf.. I am tipping a round 3 return..

I'm pretty sure it is an ankle injury keeping Johns out at the moment.

Well if Rioli can use injury as an excuse to be a little out of shape then im sure Laycock can use the same. Its amazing what one full pre-season can do to a player's body shape.

oh yeah, unlike say Watson whose injuries were almost uniformly soft tissue, Laycock has also had a lot of impact injuries and the like which is often just bad luck. But there is probably something in what Longy is saying about looking after himself when injured.

I went to High School with Jason and played school and rep footy with him.

That's just the way he is, so laid back and relaxed.

He was always more interested in basketball until he made the state under 16 footy side.

He is just gifted and in some cases people like that just rely on their natural talents.

I just hope this is the last of his injuries and we can see how good he really is after a full year of footy under his belt.

Paddy ryder looks the goods really impressive last week i thought in the ruck he can jump good feeling about him. Laycock and him in tandem in the ruck would be awsume, Hope to see him back soon.

Courtney Johns i only saw one of his games last year. Has he been round for a while? And is he any good didnt look to flash last year.

Yes he has been around for a while but he hasnt had much of a chance to play much footy. The reason he didnt look flash last year was he wasnt able to run until April . He had zero pre season so he was a tad under done
He has been impressive this pre season when he has been on the ground.
