The Hitman

LOL!

It looks like a video movie........ much rather pay $3.50 than $10.50 at the Jam Factory (bloody rip off!.... $2 more than any other cinema.... but its worth it coz we always see footy players there! ;))

yeapp.. saw the trailer for that...
i guess they made it, then skasey kicked the bucket...
sure looks like bad timing..

but, an aussie movie.. they still needed to recoup the costs of filming.... dont think many will be rushing to see that one..

kinda like that toni collette movie about the woman with lady di obsession... that came out after her death too....

This film looks like another piece of MTV type comedy bullsh it.

I watched 'A Clockwork Orange' again last night. Now there's a good film.

Speaking of Kubrick, I saw the original Lolita a couple of nights ago .. wasn't much ... Mason the only decent actor, well, Sellers was ok.

Paths to Glory - superb

Full Metal Jacket - disjointed and doesn't really capture the atomsphere of the Vietnam War at all.

Stranglove - funny but the satire becomes laboured after about 45 mins.

2001 - a trip

Barry Lyndon - as a costume drama, it makes great soft-core pr0n !

Eyes Wide Shut - He saved his worst for last.

cheers

cheers

I got free tickets to a special preview screening of 'Legally Blonde', and I wasn't expecting much but got a pleasant surprise. It started out pretty pathetic and "cringey", but it is actually quite funny in parts (if a bit predictable). Nice, light-hearted flick. It's a bit like 'Clueless', but college not high-school!

Beware - it's definitely a chickflick (for teenagers and twentysomethings, mostly).

Anyone else here think that Kubrick's movies are little more than self-indulgent rubbish ?

BSA, I quite liked 2001 and thought Dr Strangelove was very good.
Lolita was ok....better than expected, but I just cant bring myself to watch a Tom Cruise and Nicol Kidman movie, so I'll take most peoples word that it was crap.
I also think that most successfull/critically acclaimed directors put out self-indulgent crap. It's what sets them apart.
