Leigh Mathews was the dirtiest player in VFL history,who frequently head-hunted other players behind the play

He apparently rooted tony shaws missus

he beats his own wife

his only redemming value is that he coached collingwood to a flag

Hehehehe all true................BUT I will say this:

Leigh Matthews will forever be appreciated and respected in my family (at least) as he did the impossible, un-doable job of coaching the Mighty Pies to a flag after 32 long suffering years.

We will be forever indebted to him.

Unfortunate that he also bought another club to three flags, especially with two of them against us but hey? The man has the Midas touch!

A dirty player? Yes, that cannot be debated but he was also one of the greatest players to ever play our great game just the same.
