Interesting that it seems Freo tried to get Leigh 10 years or so ago but it seems Leigh knocked them back and later took the Lions job. That would of been after Neesham/Drum?

"I wasn't coaching again and Fremantle rang up and I spoke to them and never went forward - this is 10 years ago now - but when the Lions rang up I only spoke to them out of courtesy."

That was around the time we appointed Drummy.
Spoke to Matthews, he responded, "no, not interested in getting back into the coaching game".

Got him thinking, Brissie call him a couple of weeks later, the rest is history!

Meh, Thats the past and doesn't really matter because he didn't want to coach / coach us. And it was pointed out in another thread.
