He's my favourite saints player, but still a lot of people think he "disappears" in our important games. Any opinions on this?

I'm not qualified enough to speak about the past, I have just seen last year's finals.

lenny ia a absolute champ. in the big games he does perform great tackler and gets the team going winning the clearances he runs all day just needs to kick more goals. very consistant player.

I agree, that's he is very important to us. Our second most important player behind Riewodlt. We are definately missing him a lot in our midfield. We especially missed hime against WC were they win by running you into the ground because they are such great gut runners. Lenny is our best gut runner and probably by a long way.

And I don't think he goes missing in big games. He had a great game against Adelaide last year in the QF and a fantastic game against PA in the PF in 2004. He also had a huge game against the WB in Round 14 of last year which was arguably our biggest home and away game of the year considering our position and the flak we had copped.

yeah i was gonna say.. that final against port in 2004 lenny had a ridiculous number of possessions didn't he?? only a guess but it was around high 30's low 40's wasn't it? so i dono bout the theory of him going missing

Yeah but i did notice in the early games of this season whenever we were comming under the pump he wopuld step up have a nice run and goal from usally on fifty, a bit like joey is doing at the moment. in reality we shouldnt really need to use him his skills a pretty good and he should be able to just put it on the *** of any of the forwards

Having Lenny in the team is extremely important in many ways. With Lenny in the team it also gives our other key onballers more of an oppertunaty. With Lenny out Dala is tagged everyweek. When lenny was in the team you will find Dala wasnt tagged as much, as the opposition knows Lennys is just as damaging as Dala. Therefore Dalsanto played better football.

Fantastic player and crucial to miss - I will say similar to Hamill - when he is out we miss that other damaging forward to stretch every defence. Without Hayes we miss that extra midfielder.... Hate to think what would happen if we lost Maxie.. same arguement.

Hayse is a gun, takes tonnes of pressure of Dal, Ball and Harvey. We definatley miss him.

He is so sorely missed. He is the difference between our midfield being a quality midfield and a middle of the range midfield which can look good but then the next week look bad and slow.
