Leo must owe Roosy some money given the nice easing back he received yesterday. He started on Hawkins giving away about 15cm, then later on played on a Brownlow medallist in Bartel.

He's had the hard jobs all his career. Leo wouldn't have it any other way.

Interesting to do it after his first game. May have wanted to play one game in the seniors to see if he still could keep up or if he was past it. I guess he has an answer for us. Surely he will retire. Did some ok stuff on saturday but he cant be a big bodied defender anymore imo, must play forward.

Thank you Leo Barry for not only a fine career but also saving the 05 premiership!
A guy that would always punch above his weight and mostly win.

A fantastic clubman who's greatest individual moment will go down in AFL folklore.

Well done Leapin Leo!!!!

Well done on a great career Leo. I'll always remember 'The Mark' of course, and also the job you did on Gehrig in 2004 left him goalless, kickless and St Kilda winless :D

Excellent career Leo, certainly gave us the most memorable moment of our football supporting lives.

Yep, spot-on. Leo will never be forgotten, not just for The Mark, but for the job he did on M Gardiner (et al) in that grand final, a bloke about 15cm and, what, 20kg bigger.

In fact, Leo was superb through that finals series; super job on Gehrig the previous week.

A club legend at the greatest club. Says it all.

I HATE RETIREMENTS
i knew this one was comingand althouh i was never overly fond of leo.. you always start to miss things when you kno they'll be gone..

Yeah Leo is just a champion player and i think people may more remember him for his great mark, but the guy week in week out played on the oppositions best forward whether that player be big or small. He was able to grive a realy honest contest and was able to win more than he lost.

Great in two weeks time I won't have any relatives left playing in the AFL...

He won't be remembered for just the mark from me...

He will remembered for his perseverance his durability coming back from injury (this year doesn't count)

And his constant run from defence

A true Swans Great :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Thank you Leo for all you gave to us, the fans and our wonderful club. As a player and a captain you always carried youself wonderfully well and you have always been held in the highest regard by us Swans fans but also every non-Swans supporter that i have spoken to.

One of the first few half back dashers before every single team had one. The way he was able to change to play FB and still was able to play as an attacking defender was quite admirable.

Oh yeh, "that" mark helped us somewhat as a club too...i guess.

Thank You Leo!!!

Seemed like genius making him a defender way back when. He was a fair grab as a forward but not so great at kicking through the sticks. Like Neil Cordy and Andrew Dunkley before him taking those big strong grabs in defence is such a valuable skill that he possessed and highlighted when he floated past the outstretched hands of Mark Seaby to clutch the most important mark in Swans history.

Thanks for all the heart in mouth moments Leo and I hope you can at least give this fan just one more of those dodging runs out of defence in the next two games.

Such a great small defender won't be forgotten.
