I've been a big critic of Leon, but I think he's been much better over the last couple of years. The difference is that he's fitter (still not fit enough, though). That enables him to cover more ground offensively and defensively. I don't know the stats, but I reckon his possession rate has improved, as have his tackles, and that's a direct result of him being fitter and putting himself more often in a position to receive the ball, win the ball, or chase the ball carrier.
Plus, he's got pace, is generally a good field kick, and converts well in front of goal. All those are areas in which we struggle.
And his game last night was v good IMO. (He's still prone to too many shockers, though.)

Leon has been solid this year, and was awesome vs Hawks, but if that deal was there I'd take it. We are getting pummeled in the ruck.

I dont WANT to get rid of Leon. I WANT a decent tap ruckman who can help develop the young midfielders we have at the moment like Everitt did for Hodge/Mitchell/etc. Purely speculative, but if Adelaide said they wanted Leon and offered (a fit) Biglands I'd struggle to say no. Having Medhurst, Thomas and Didak already scurrying around goal helps too.

i'd be happy to trade bigland 28 coming off a reco u can have him but our forward line is inconsistent as it is so you can keep leon u can give us young pendelbury if u like

To be honest I have never been a big fan of Davis but having watched the game on Sunday night my opinion has changed. Was easily the most dangerous Pie forward and always looked dangerous around the ball and I thought he really stood up when the pressure was on. An untouchable on the Collingwood list I would think.
