Ok I've been reading alot on these forums for the last couple of months ( basically the whole pre season ) and I dont agree with alot of what Ive read. I think there are alot of people on hear that need a reality check, of which are mainly hawks and tigers supporters. Im puting this in bay 13 because I want responses from people of all clubs, especially the currently successful clubs. Well here comes some truths:

1: Tambling has done nothing to convince me he is a superstar of the future.

2: The culture of our club is slowly having a dire effect on Deledio ( he is going soft and lazy).

3: It is defiantely not Wallaces fault, our list is by far the most unbalanced list of any AFL side.

4: We will not make the finals

5: WE WILL NOT MAKE THE FINALS FFS

6: Franklin is a better player then Tambling and Deledio so far.

7: Marc Murphy is better then all the above in just 14 games. ( This could change but stop arguing the fact with blues supporters it makes us seem stupid ).

8: We are desperate (haha lets be honest ffs)

9: Brown will never fully recover

10: We are lucky Richo has not left us in search of a Premiership, so dont f^%kin blame him when we lose.

11: Gasper is a complete an utter hack and he is TW's biggest mistake thus far.

This list could be alot longer.

This is not a troll im just being honest, I believe the only other club playing in a similar situation is Hawthorn. These views have been compiled over the last 26 years not just a rant because we lost round one, Im a very dedicated supporter of the tigers, but I think its time we get realistic and admit that 2011 is probably pretty bloody accurate at this stage. DONT LIE TO YOURSELVES ANY LONGER.

feel free to reply im just trying to show the rest of the clubs supporters that not all of us a delusional at punt road, and that I know we are a long way from challenging.

/end rant:thumbsu:

you are kidding yourself mate,

  • it is wallaces fault, re-building my arse, the eternal comeback of a defeatist
  • ease up on gaspar, he got you through the last 4-5 years and is just ageing like all backmen
  • tambling will never be any good
  • brown is a flog that is all wrong for that club. walks in and thinks he's the star asap.
show a bit of spine pal and stick up for your team.
bagging richmond is our job.

2: The culture of our club is slowly having a dire effect on Deledio ( he is going soft and lazy).

What a lazy player.

I mean doing the most work out of any single player on our list over the summer is pathetic :thumbsd:

He came first in the NAB Training Point system remember. Trained harder than everyone. That simply doesn't happen without doing a bunch of extra sessions everyday and putting 100% in all the time.

You're a lazy poster if you've been reading here for months withgout posting so who are you to judge ;)

If you ARE a Richmond supporter that is.

Yeah?

He WAS the star!

2005 mate, look at it lol. He was arguably the best player in the competition let alone our club.

And Bulldogs fans it's not our fault you wasted the draft picks you got for him!! :D

listen to this bloke he knows what hes talking about.

You piss poor bandwagoners that jump on when we are playing good footy, and jump off when we lose make me sick.

Seriously, if your not a true supporter then go support another club, we dont want you.

^^ Anyone can do well on the track, its what someone does out on the field that counts, eg: Daniel Kerr interrupted pre season but came out on the weekend like a demon.. He is what our club needs!:thumbsu:

I appreciate your opinion, but Im not bagging us mate, Im just saying a few of the things that I believe are wrong with our club atm. These things can all be fixed. But im not gonna sit back and act like our performances are acceptible when they clearly are not.

PS: I reckon we might just get over your mob still :thumbsu:

It's to say "We lost. Hey, I know! We need someone like Daniel Kerr!"

You said Deledio was LAZY.

He works harder than any other player we've got.

That makes your opinion hard to agree with.

Benny you just described Deledio as a March Champion !!!

You lost to the team that won the wooden spoon last year, while we beat last year's minor premiers. Richmond aren't going anywhere quickly.

A Carlton supporter posted that, not a Richmond supporter.

He needs to chase, tackle and crash packs. He might train hard but he plays lazy and looks for the easy possesions.:thumbsd:

I thought I was Realistic. You seem to be quite the pessimist and after one round of the new year as well. Perhaps re-acquainting yourself with some other facts might help a little to show all is not lost.

1. Last year we lost the first 3 games, for the remaining 19 weeks we were 11-8 not too shabby considering we were missing Brown, Richo, Coughlan during that period for various lengths of time the signs are there that the kids can compete and win their fair share of games.

2. We used the most players of every club last year and once more turned over the list bringing in another 6 fresh faces. It will take time for this to gel and instead of looking at the year with doom and gloom we should be looking forward to seeing signs of improvement in some of the youngers guys at the club.

3. This is the list of kids at our club with under 50 games:

Yet to debut: Casserly, Collins, Connors, Peterson, Riewoldt, plus rookies King, Graham, Clingan.
Less than 15 games: Hughes(3)*, McGuane(3), Meyer(13)*, JON(4)*, Thursfield(7), White(11) & Howat(6).
15-50 Games: Deledio(44)*, Tambling(34)*, Tuck(48), Schulz(38)*,Pattison(18)* Raines(30), Polo(18)*, Jackson(21), Moore(18) & Foley(28).

Thats is 24 players out of a list of 42 including rookies, so it is little wonder why we will occasionally be made to look ordinary. We expect some of these kids based on their potential and high draft position to be stars as soon as they step on to the field. Not everyone is like Chris Judd and can play at an exceptional level from day one. When they get another 2-3 years of experience under their belts then they have the makings of a team that should be competitive but we should not just expect it either. A big positive is that of that group we have Deledio and Raines that finished first and second respectively in the Rising Star award in the last 2 years. Not many other clubs can say they have had their youngsters achieve the same thing.

So instead of writing us off after another poor Round 1 performance perhaps give them the benefit of the doubt for a couple more weeks. The funny thing is that they could come out and beat a side like the Swans this week, not likely I admit but you never know, and suddenly there will be threads made stating we are on the right track again. Thats the funny thing about footy it is a long season and anything can happen.

this entire forum is disgraceful. Its meant to be about discussing players, teams, coaches, talking about news, but the amount of bias, sarcasm, ********edness if thats a word is unreadable.

You make some good points, im not judging us on just round 1 we have been dreadful for awhile. If we do beat Sydney I will litterally put my foo tin my mouth and post a pic of it on here for you to all laugh at :thumbsu:

Why? Explain.

You're saying the inclusion of Mal Michael, Matthew LLoyd and some newbies in Davey, Houli and Jetta will result in a worse season than last year?

Let me explain. Lloyd will probably get injured again, Michael is finished and as for your newbies welll everyone has those. The BLues for example have a lad called Gibbs, the Swans recruited Everett, Dockers Tarrant etc. So all you have really done by signing Michael is keep pace with the other clubs from last year. Really it's hard to see how Essendon have improved much from last year. They are defineltly one of the main woooden spoon contenders along with the Roos, Magpies, Tigers, Lions, Hawks and alas Carlton although i don't think the Blues will win it but being completely objective you would have to say where a candidate.
