We should be pushing for compensation for their tanking. Although Dusty is better than trengove and scully, the reality is their tanking made our picks go from 1 and 17 to 3 and 19. My logic is, they should be forced to give up a player who would have been worth such a downtrade.

Now, given how much people covet the #1 pick, I would say that would be a pretty handy player. Problem is, their aren't too many players from their team that I'd want...maybe Stefan Martin?

The whole situation at the Melbourne Demons repulses me, and I wish their club years of cellar dwelling after Bailey's dismissal, and hopefully Scully leaves. I applauded the club for his appointment, and find his dismissal pathetic.

I just hope we aren't as reactive about Hardwick should we finish mid-ladder next season. We're a better club than that.

Sorry to interupt but some of what has been said here is way off the mark.

I agree the Bailey dismissal was reactive, but that doesn't make it the wrong decision.

I have a lot of time for Dean but as a coach he lost the plot this year, he confessed he did not focus on a game plan pre season, he never seemed to have a plan b apart from throwing 2 or 3 guys back loose in defence. He isn't what we need as a coach right now.

That might seem harsh after all he has been through, but the results speak for themselves this year.

As for taking your pick of 3+ Melbourne players...

I'll leave it at it's unrealistic.
