Interesting aside , and I wonder how many others were offered. I have a full drama pack from Foxtel for 2 weeks. Amazingly the 2 weeks the Olympics are on. Hmm

Apparently the taxi drivers/paid drivers in Rio are being paid a set wage for the Olympics rather than their normal salary of pay per ride/commission, so half of them are pretending to rock up to work but not, so no one can get a taxi.

Love the Olympics, and the cities always do a reasonable job at worst in the end, but **** me they've made it tough for themselves.

No worse than Greece imo. But the country did make the mistake of hosting both the World Cup and the Olympics. It's a massive drain on the economy over a very long time. Crowds may stay away due to the threat of violence.

The Beach Volleyball arena seats 15K !!!! Thats huge.

I reckon the Aussies should be aiming towards 14/15 Gold medals. If we show up in the pool this time that is.....

Should get about 8 or 9 in the pool. Most of our swimmers are swimming worlds best times.

Doubt these Olympics will be as good as the last ones but will still find myself watching no doubt.

Always enjoy watching the track and field, some of the swimming and rowing (hopefully no one falls into the water) and also the BMX.
